| Texas Toothpicks in the bag They seem to have a strange smell. When I buy them individually, I don't really notice much of a smell. They don't stink like a bully stick, they just smell strange, kind of plasticy or paint-ish . The individual toothpicks I thought smelled like wood. Do you think it's bc it was in the plastic? The flossie I got also had a greasy-ish coat to it. These were both ordered from entirelypets.com and Uni has never had any tummy issues from anything from them. Should I contact them?

| I buy them in the bag from them too, and I have not had any problems. I think it depends on the temperature they are kept and if the bag draws any moisture. When you buy them individually, they are set out at room temp and can dry. When I get them and open them, I leave the top of the bag cracked open. I don't close it back up so they don't draw any moisture. Does this even make any sense? Something else I do is cut them in half. Speaking of stretching the buck it helps, and still satisfies the need for chewing for about 20 minutes each sometimes longer.

| What do you use to cut them in half? We were doing that with wishbones, but found that she liked the forked end, and would just ignore the stick end, then when it got too short to hold she wouldn't touch them anymore, so in that case the cutting in half backfired. But the toothpicks she loves so i think I will be doing this. I gave her one before dinner (bad move ) and she finished it in record time. Next time only after dinner!

| I have a pair of kitchen scissors. One end is scissors, but the part between the handles is kind of a curved jagged thing. I got them at Wal-mart. I put the tt between those jagged teeth looking thing and it crumples the tt just enough to break it in half. If you don't know what I'm talking about I will take and post a picture. It works pretty good. I've really liked doing it this way rather than giving them a whole one.
