| Much more goes into making boy clothing. They are more expensive and time consuming to make. The prices charged are worth every penny. Quality clothes and quality fabrics with good sewing and trim, cost a great deal to make and time to make them, boys or girls. I know we are all saving money, but when it takes a day to make a garment and you only charge 15.00 for it, and the material and supplies cost you 8.00... isn't your time worth more than that? |

I think there are fewer because the market caters to the consumer. Not as many people will dress a boy, but they will dress up a girl.

| I really like Ruff Luv for my boy- he has this sweatshirt and I LOVE it- Ruff Luv Navy Blue Glitter Snowflake Dog Hoodie I have a lot of other stuff from them too and love it! I know people say there is a lot more for girls but I really don't have a hard time finding stuff for my boy either- he has tons of clothes- sweaters, hoodies, t-shirts. Some places I find good stuff in stores is PetCo and WalMart.

| And...to the OP...that is a good question. There aren't many places that have good boys clothes.

And I do agree with you. I think there is a lot for boy dogs as well, but maybe not as much variety because you really can't put a dress on a dog and there are so many different types of dresses for dogs (fancy, plain, seasonal, sundress, etc) so it seems like there is less. | |

I agree that it is harder to dress a boy. There is more variety for the girl dogs. When I finally find something that is for my boy, fits my taste, and is long enough for his body, I come to find it's not a good fit because it's long on the underside. If it's too long on the belly, Kaji will pee on it.

| I lucked up and found a good amount at Ross. They had camo, Jean material, skulls, and greens. Lots of boy designs! It is very hard to find boy clothes.. Girls are so easy to shop for!

| I buy from dog clothes They custom make the clothes by your baby's measurements. Just tell her your concerns and she'll make sure you get what you ordered. |

| Alright this is something I did to try to save some money, it was a little time consuming and I am learning as I go. I am no seamtress. My fault my Mother tried to teach me. Didn't want no part of then, and now she is no longer with us. I bought some used premie onsies from a second hand store (nice store) I paid about .50 - $1.00 each. I bought some no sew hem stuff from Joann's fabric. I took a shirt that was made for boys and look at it pretty good and then cut the onesie bottom off and cut up around the belly so he would not pee-pee on it and then took the no-sew hem tape and iron an hem. My first few ones are trial and error. Now I see where my problem was and can re-do and my next ones. I also bought a couple of premie sweaters that zipped and a little hoodie that zipped. I put on with the zip on the back side those worked out well. The sweater was too cute. the hoodie I put the zip on the belly side so the hood would be in right spot. Jack sweater.JPG |
