| Doggles? My girlfriend's dog just had some eye surgery and I'm wondering if any of you have tried these and what do you think? From a human's perspective they look pretty cool, but if the dog keeps trying to get them off they may do more harm than good. Thanks. |

| Depends on the dog. Some don't like a tee shirt, others will tolerate hats. Anything to protect the eyes would be better than nothing.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey's getting some for Christmas, and I tried them on him and he seemed okay with them, they have two straps, one goes under the chin and another around the head. You can start with short periods, and use rewards to get them to be comfortable with them. We recently got a bike basket and many of the bike paths are covered in gravel, and I was hoping that these would protect his eyes. One of our members capt_noonie sells them and if you PM her, she gives YT members a 10% discount. Here's her site. Three Yorkie Friends Doggles - Three Yorkie Friends Travel and Lifestyle Accessories

| I've recently bought doggles, in order for my baby to get use to them for next summer. We live in a very sunny country and sun is always a problem. I put them on her every day for a few minutes and she is getting use to them. First time I tried them she took them of in a second. I think that it will take some more time but it worth a try. In the pic you can see how doggles are strapped under and behind the head

To the OP: I bought Doggles for Max from Capt Noonie. They work great for him. Some dogs may need more coaxing and training to wear, and I would supervise anytime the dog is wearing them. If the dog is really resistant to wearing them, you could look into the doggy helmets with a visor. Sounds funny, but eyes are important.

| Our little guy got some for Christmas...he looks adorable in them and didn't really fuss to get them off. I'm going to start getting him to wear them a bit at a time so in the spring he'll be used to them. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I love seeing pics of doggles! I always think doggle-wearing doggies should be flying the old fashioned window-less airplanes...with a white pilot scarf around their neck...trailing in the wind.

Thor's Human Donating Member | I got Thor a pair of dark, wrap around goggles and he hated them. I think they restricted his vision too much. But as it happens, I just bought him a new pair TODAY, and he seems totally fine with them! The tint is much lighter, and they are rimless. I am going to try them on car trips. Thor likes to stick his nose out of the window like every other dog on earth, but I think the wind whips his hair into his eyes. Hopefully these will help, and he looks AWESOME, kind of like Andy Warhol.
