Thor's Human Donating Member | What do they sell at the perfect pet supplies store? I love buying Thor stuff he doesn't really need, but sometimes I find myself thwarted by lack of tempting items. What would be at the perfect pet store? * First, obviously, it would have every clothing item in EVERY size, including XXS. * Lots of different toy types, again in EVERY size. * All good food options, freezer for primal raw. * Good snacks. * Extensive grooming section. You know I've never found Chris Christensen at a retail outlet? * Many different harness options, in EVERY size. * Lots of different leashes. Hands free leashes, running leashes, etc. * "Sports gear" like life jackets, need I say it? In every size. * Cute clothes for boys, with offbeat stuff like Doggles and hats. Lots of different rain coats. * Training pads and poop bags again, in XXS. *** TRAINING STUFF! Little basket ball hoops, all types of clickers, mini agility equipment, etc. * "Thinking dog" toys like Nina Ottensen(sp?) in XXS; treat balls; kongs; etc. * Lots of different crating options. * Cute / sporty dog carriers. * Good treat bags with multiple attachment options AND an extra slot for potty bags. * Cool things I've never seen before and want to buy. Like, in one store I found (actually, the store where that mean yorkie bit Thor), the owner has this kind of loose cloth loop you where across one shoulder. Very stylish, AND you can carry a dog in it. What else should be in the perfact store?

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I'd like a bigger grooming selection too. i hate the stuff they sell at petco and petsmart. its so cheap. Luckily i DO live near a store that sells Chris Christensen items. its about 30 minutes away but worth it. they have so many awesome grooming products that i can use for work and on morgan. plus they have a great selection of toys, food, treats, etc. The only bad thing about this store is that i tend to spend too much money. LOL

| My biggest complaint is the quality of the collars, leashes, clothes, and bedding that I find. There is never a great XXL selection, the collars always have one flaw or another, store brand shampoos and conditioners seem to concentrate on shedding protection instead of moisturizing, etc. I would love to open a spa/hair salon for adults connected to a doggie spa/pet store. I would be mindful that a lot of people have toy sized doggies, and carry a big selection. All the products made by YT members seem to have the quality that I am looking for in products. It would be nice to have a store similar to the Etsy website where you could walk-in and buy things that have that extra touch that the commercial brands don't.

| Agree with everything you listed. Grooming products are a definite. I love Minksheen shampoo but I have to buy it online and the extra shipping costs sucks. My bottle is almost gone so I'll probably just have to buy a new shampoo I can find locally. I am a collar fanatic and can rarely find something I really like local. So I'm always ordering collars/harnesses online. Etsy.com is my favorite place EVER. I'm lucky in that I found a local pet boutique that offers pretty much ALL the food I would ever feed. They have Acana, Orijen, Go, Now, and all that kind of food. Literally EVERYTHING in there is super healthy, including treats and chews. And they have a big freezer full of Stella and Chewy's, Primal, Nature's Variety, etc. So that's definitely my favorite store and they have a GREAT selection of collars and leashes and bowls, etc, but the problem is... it's just TOO expensive. They have amazing doggy beds... for $100 or more! Um, no thanks.

| I want to come to your perfect pet store! Maybe they better have a lay away department! LOL! I have been going just as crazy with spending since I have come back from my hiatus as I did the first time I discovered YorkieTalk. I feel like I have been neglecting my poor pups these last months, buying them only bare necessities. I seem to be making up for lost time very nicely though. If I am not careful, I am going to spend my Christmas money! I am retired so income is pretty stagnant. But this is so much more fun of a way to spend money than the usual Walmart trips!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | We have a store that makes an effort to stock nothing but quality stuff. The owners are dog lovers like us here on YT, and they don't carry anything that they wouldn't get themselves for their dogs. They don't carry all brands of food, but what they carry I know is top-notch. That's what I want in a pet store. Somebody who has done the research so I don't always have to. Didn't see these listed: Canine toothpaste and finger brushes Probiotics Vitamins Made-in-America bully sticks
