| Recommendations for Yorkie shampoo My yorkie is 8 months now. I've been using a tearless puppy shampoo on him. When should I start using dog shampoo (as opposed to puppy shampoo)? Any recommendations? If I get away from tearless, will that irritate his eyes? Can I continue to use puppy shampoo on him forever? I wash him once a week and brush him multiple times per day since his thin, fine coat gets tangled up if I don't. All recommendation/suggestions are appreciated! Thanks. |

| Ziva has a thin fine silky coat, but I kept her clipped short so I don't know about tangles. I still use puppy shampoo on her face but sent for "Mink sheen" discussed on this forum. It works well no need of conditioner and I like the fresh smell that lasts for days (citronella, eucalyptis, cedar oil) my one son says she smells like fresh earth...not everyone would like it I guess. Shipping made it expensive - wish it was sold locally... |

| I like the puppy shampoo smell when I kiss her little face! I just gave the dogs their weekend ready bath and I have to say the mink sheen (3rd X I used it) is really good- she shimmers! |

| I'm sure that a lot of people will disagree with me but I can't stand the smell of the Mink Sheen. It is extremely strong in my opinion. We tried it three times to see if I could get used to it but I just gave up. It smelled too much like bug spray for me. It is however very popular here. I really like Buddy Splash shampoo and conditioner and Pet Silk shampoo and conditioner in the rainforest scent. He smells yummylicious and I can't stop smelling him! I use the tearless Pet Silk puppy shampoo on his face so that it doesn't hurt his eyes. There is a member on here makes a Yorkie shampoo that is very popular too. Good luck!

| Buddy Wash is available in many dog stores. I forgot to write to write that I use the lavender scented Buddy Wash. I wrote Buddy Splash before but that is the small spray bottle of leave in conditioner that has the same scent. It is great to use in between washings and to quickly make him smell great. I believe that the Pet Silk is only available online but I'm not completely sure. Buddy Wash Lavender Mint Dog Shampoo Buddy Rinse Lavender Mint Dog Conditioner Buddy Splash Lavender Mint Pet Spritzer It's also available in Petco Cloud Star Buddy Wash Lavender & Mint Dog Shampoo at PETCO Pet Silk

| I love Minksheen; it's the only one that makes Jackson smell like he's been to the groomers, and the smell lasts a good 3-4 days. Even when he gets out of the chorline pool, he smells yummy. It's a cologne-ish smell so alot of people don't like it, but alot of people swear by it too. It can come off strong when bathing but alot of people dilute it with water too. I just love it. I also like Tropiclean! I have Berry and Kava scents and both are good and make him smell yummy and feel soft, and look shiny. I personally didn't like Nootie (cucumber melon) but I also didn't have the spritz spray. It smelled wonderful in the bottle but once Jackson dried off, I didn't smell anything? I also wasn't big on Buddy Wash for the same reason.. yeah it got him clean, but he didn't smell like he'd had a bath afterwards.

| I agree, this stuff is the best! I've tried a few of the others but the fragrance just doesn't last as long.
