| Seat belt buckle clip? Does anyone use a seat belt buckle clip to keep your dog safe in the car? I was looking for a car seat and I came across one of these. On one end it looks like the end of a leash to attach to a harness, and the other end has a buckle to go into the seat belt. Please let me know if you have ever used one of these. I know it has to be safer than using nothing.

No Longer a Member | Sorry, I don't have an answer for you but I've been on the look out for something to keep Rizzo in place on car rides. He can be a terror in the car, he is not a fan of them and keeps hopping on my lap or trying to crawl up behind me to rest on my neck...talk about a distraction. I've been putting him in a carrier when we go somewhere but it's always a hassle to get him in one... |

| my mom uses something like what you are describing for her pug(15 lbs) and her chihuahua(6lbs) we also a car harness that secured to the seat belt for our oversized maltease(10 lbs) i would not use one for gatsby i think he is to fragile and in a crash i think it would break his ribs

| Yes, my car seat has that buckle, and I use it, but I need another one, now that i have two, and I can't find one, to safe my life...It's from petgear, but they don't show just selling the buckle If anyone knows where to get one, I sure would be glad...Btw, yes, I think the buckle, used in the car seat is way more effective, than not using it...if you have to stop, suddenly, at least they don't go flying out of the carseat.... |

| Chokefree harness makes a seat belt buckle clip. Here is their website. Local company in Merritt Island FL. All of the pups have the chokefree harness. Ultra Easy ChokeFree & PawRider Pet Seatbelt Adapter (USA)

| Yes, I use these. With 6 yorkies, there's no room for carseats. I use couplers with the seat belt attachments so everyone is secure.

| I use this one that I found at Golly Gear: Car Seat Belt Loop for Small Dogs from Golly Gear You put the seat belt through it and you attach the hook at the dog's harness It's very nice Maria |
