| Need a New Harness-Advice Please Currently, Addie, Mia and Dany have step-in harnesses that I bought at PetSmart. The problem is, they seem to ride a bit high on the chest and Addie sometimes start "snorking" when she pulls on the leash in her excitement. I've looked at the ChokeFree Pet Shoulder Collar and the Buddy Belt Harness. The Buddy Belt doesn't seem to come in very many "cute" colors for girls, but if it's better, I'd sacrifice cute for a really good harness. Can anyone who uses either of these and let me know why you like/don't like the harness? Also, if anyone has any other harnesses that they really love and think will sit lower on the chest than the PetSmart step-in harnesses, I'd love to hear about those too! |

| chattiesmom silk harnesses are THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!! I promise... Have them for both my yorkies and even bought them for my moms poodles, one of which has a collapsed trachea and there is no more "snorking" here ever. If your not familiar, chattiesmom is a member here and she makes each harness to your babies specifications.

| I ordered one from chattiesmom! I can't wait for it. I heard so many good things about it and decided to get my furchild use to it and start leash training inside the house since I can't take her out for another 2 months. She's very nice and gives you options! |

| I heard about these a bit ago after doing some research after posting. Is it shorter than other step in harnesses? That seems to be Addie's problem. Maybe she can customize to make harness shorter? I'll have to pm her. |

| She customizes each harness for each dog/puppy. You take a measurement for her and she does the rest! |

| Choke Free harness I have a choke free harness brand for each of mine and they work great!!. I also have a harness from chattismom. both are great but I tend to prefer the dhoke free more, it doesn;t bother my "puller" at all. Hope this helps |

| Thanks all! I'm going to go with chattiesmom since I need three harnesses and leashes for my pups. If that doesn't work, I'll get the choke free. Addie is the "puller". Dany and Mia walk nicely beside me, so they don't need the choke free as badly. |

| I'm a harness addict and have multiple Chattiesmom harnesses, buddy belts and choke free harnesses so I'll go ahead and let you know what I think of each 1. Chattiesmom harness: LOVE that they are so soft and come in so many colors!! Also they are great if your dog is in a full coat as they don't cause as many mats, although I don't think any harness is completely mat free. 2. Buddy Belts: These are my FAVORITE harnesses. I just love the look of them overall and Mitzy can wear hers for hours without matting, even in a full coat I think they alot of cute colors, I have a hot pink and a light pink and I want to get the silver color 3. Choke free: I like that these go under the chest and no where near the neck/throat area but I'm not a fan of the velcro. Its also a bit hard if you wear tags on the harness becuase you have to pull them through the little slot each time you put the harness on. I do love these though and they look great!!

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I have two harnesses that I love on Morgan. I have a step-in made by chattiesmom that i got at least 3 years ago. Its usually what i put on her when we go for walks around the neighborhood. I also have a harness that i bought from a dauchshund rescue at a pet expo. I believe it came from this site/rescue Hug-A-Dog Harness I like this more then other harness vests because its sturdier, has a safety buckle over the velcro on the neck, AND (my favorite part) has a "handle" on the back for quick pick up. I think its real purpose is for a safety belt in the care but i use it to pick Morgan up or put her down when we are out. its great if you need to grab your dog really quick because a strange dog is headed their way or kids are running towards you to pet your dog. The site has some pictures on it but i don't feel they do the harness justice.

| I have Buddy Belts for Chloe and Dylan and these are awesome. Chloe and Dylan are not stressed out at all wearing them when we go out for walks and I feel safe ( they fit perfectly and will not slip out of the harness).

| I did order three harness/leash sets from chattiesmom (I think it was on April 25th). I'm pretty excited to receive them. I gave her the girth measurement, but I also gave the length needed for down the chest. It made me curious to see what the measurement of their current harnesses, so I measured. The step-ins from Petsmart are over one inch longer than what my pups need! No wonder my puller (Addie) is having problems. Oh well, hopefully these new ones will help.
