| Argh! So frustrated, can someone explain how to put in a bow please? I use snap in bows on Bailey because I'm totally clueless on how to apply a bow with a band attached Can anyone explain it to me? I want to buy some more nice boy bows. I watched a video that was posted, but I am not getting it.. Are you suppose to use a separate more stretchy band first and then add the bow over that? How do you apply the bow with out hurting the poor dog? I think I am the only one that doesn't know!

| You should put in an elastic first and then the bow with the elastic over it. You shouldn't do the top knot with the bow itself. |

| Are the elastics easier to stretch then the band on the bow? Where do you get them? Thanks!

| The two bands on the bow are for placement only. You need to make a topknot first, then just pop the bow on top. Some people only use one band for placement and keep the other one as a back up in case it breaks. Here is a great tutorial on topknots: Topknots shared by Linda Grimm and Maria Lelinho starring Rocky! Many Thanks! |

| K, forgive my ignorance But when you add the bow do you use something special to apply it, or just your fingers and why are there 2 bands on a bow? Thanks!

| I've never seen 2 bands on one bow before, so that I don't know. But to put the regular bands in yes just use your fingers. But someone else suggested if you need to get one more loop around, you can use a little crochet hook.

I use vinyl bands that I get in the childrens dept at walmart. I put one band in then put the bow in, starting it towards the back of the head, with the bow right side up, twist it and turn it to the front. then add another vinyl on top. They stay in for a whole week. Last edited by JeanieK; 01-17-2010 at 03:36 PM. | |

| Darlene I always use a band first and then the bow using only one of the bands so I have a spare if the band breaks and it usually does after a while. I have some black bands if you want pm me and I can send you some. Hugs to Bailey.
