Donating YT 30K Club Member | I use the washable ones and put the disposable ones on top. That way if they miss the pad I have the washable one to catch it. I wash seperatley and dry in the dryer.

| I use washable and love them. If I had the disposable, I know for certain these pups of mine would shread them The washable are easy to take care of. If they poop I pick it up. If its diahrea, I wipe it and apply a spray on stain remover. Usually, I just use regular unscented tide detergent and throw in some arm and hammer baking soda. I've seen arm and hammer detergent and tried that as well but didn;t notice any difference. What I'm currently doing seems to work. No odor, no staining so far after about 3 months of use with 3 yorkies. I order mine online and there are a number of distributors. I know Ryan sells some on YT and people have good things to say about him. I need to order mine elsewhere only because i am looking for a specific size 18x24 which he does not carry because that size fits perfectly in the pee pad holders. Pee pad holders are a good idea because they help hold down the pads whether disposable or washable. Before I got the pee pad holders, the pups would flip over the pads on me.

| ...a couple things I forgot. I wash in hot and dry them in the dryer on Med or High heat. They are very durable...at least the ones I've had experience with.

| My dogs are outside trained now but I did use washable while potty training and while raising a litter of pups. If there was any solid material left on the pad I would just rinse the pad well in my laundry sink before putting it in the washer. I also use a little bleach in the pee pad loads. The disposable pads quickly were shredded by my yorkies and it was QUITE the mess.

| I use Shamwow's with a plastic liner underneath. When I wash them I throw a scoop of Oxyclean in with the regular detergent. I am going to be buying some underpads from the hospital in a couple of weeks, and use them as washable pads. I'm hoping to learn how to make some washable pads myself as I just recently was given a sewing machine!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I use the washable and really love them - I think I have about 10 of them, and I rotate thru. I have a few placed throughout the house. If they have a yuck poo, it does wash out pretty well, actually. I think there are a few stains on a few pads, I suppose? But really, they wash up very easily bc they're meant for bodily fluid stains, so they're pretty durable. I wash a bunch of pads together at a time when the dogs are w/ me in 1 room, then dry.

| I know the disposible pads are expensive, but I can't see myself throwing washable pads in the same washer I put my clothes in. |

Actually I thought it felt strange to put the pee pads in the same washer in which we wash everyone's clothes but I've gotten used to it and I usually follow a certain pattern where I will run a hot sanitizing whites load as the first load after. Thats a thought? I also have a couple dozen pads to I can a bit before washing them.
