| Choke free harness? Hi I was wondering what everyone thinks about the choke free harness or the buddy belt. I am looking for something that bother Pixie bc she hates harness they all seem to fit her weird. So I was trying to decide if I should spend the money on a choke free harness or a buddy belt. What is the best website to get it from also.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I love Cindy's silk harnesses and my girls don't mind then at all. I bought an expensive leather choke free and it is too small for Pixie so if you get one of those make sure you add a little to your measurements.

| I use Buddy Belts for my boy and girl and since we started using BB they have calmed down a bit. We have tried different harnesses - they couldn't compare to Buddy Belts.

| I have the choke free harness for Max. I love it..I've not been able to find one in the past that doesn't bother his trachea. I believe there has been a post on this before. Try a search, there may be some more helpful information for you. Good luck!

I have a choke free harness for Winston and I adore it. I was skeptical of ordering it at first because they were cheaper then the buddy belts and I was worried I'd be buying something of questionable quality like my last harness purchase. If you go to the chokefree website they have a link to Frieda's boutique who they recommend for web/mail purchase and she has great pricing (and free shipping.) Sometimes she has to order the particular size and color though so it make take a couple weeks to get to you. She also sells the new matching ID collars but you do have to order over the phone for those. There also are quite a few retailers in brick and mortar stores that carry them too, so you might want to look into that as well. You do also have to order an inch (or in other words a size) up. Winston is 12 inches, so we ordered a 13 inch. The reason for doing this is really for clothing - when Winston has nothing on I can tighten it as far as it goes and the fit is just right. When he has a couple layers on (like right now because its 10 degrees here) the extra inch gives room for things like coats and sweaters or anything else bulky. If I were to buy the 12 inch - it would just be twelve inches and would fit snuggly because he'd be at the max end of the spectrum for that size. I really do adore my chokefree... so much that since I got it in august I've been trying to find an excuse to buy another in a different color. They leather is also soft when you first get it too, which is always a plus. I've had the puppia harness (3 styles, superior, regular & vest) as well as the traditional nylon ones, and the silk... but I adore my chokefree - and so does Winston! (The only harness I own/owned that he hasn't attempted to bite! ) | |

| I bought a "Choke-Free" collar for Dunkin and think it was a great investment! Other harnesses that went around his back would still hit his neck when he pulled. There is a page on this site that lists where you can purchase the collars, and many are online. I think I paid $20 or so for mine, but I can't quite remember. Good luck! |
