| Collar ,Tags , and Charms ?? I don't use a collar for our dogs I use a Harness , but I have a question about collars.... Do you put a collar on your Yorkie for their tags ( and things like charms...my dh bought some for our furkids ) ? I don't like putting their tags on the harness because I often change which harness I use . So should I have a collar to put on them when we are going out ? Just to clarify I wouldn't attach a leash to the collar and they would still wear/use the harness , The collar would be solely for the tags etc. I know it's OK for my non Yorkie bigger dog but I was concerned about Chloe (who finally just hit 3 lbs. ) Thanks

| Galahad wears a collar at all times with his ID tag (name, address, my name, phone number, and that he needs daily medication) and his AVID tag. He has a No Choke harness that he wears during the day for going out to potty. No, we never attach the leash to the collar, only his harness.

| I do for Scruffs, since I kept changing harnesses and I just figured it was better for him to always have his collar on. I just wouldn't risk having him without a tag.

| Uni wears an $3 orange leopard print easy release cat collar from Walmart It's got 2 ID tags (I couldn't resist when the Pirates of the Caribbean one came out), her rabies tag, a bell, and a pirate key charm. I like her to jingle at all times so I know where she is. LOL Plus it's like an accessory, and everyone needs those! But yes, her lead gets attached to her harness that she only wears when we go for a W-A-L-K.

| Same for me. Kaji wears his tags and bells on his collar 24/7, but we use a harness for the leash. These little ones are so quick and sneaky I just rather he have ID on him.

| Thanks everyone I usually just clip their tags to the harness but it gets so annoying switching it all the time , so I think I will give a collar a try. plus she can wear her cute little charms now

| Troy keeps a tag and collar on at all times. I buy collars and tags off eBay or different sites . He has a collar for just about every occasion. He's got his rabies info, microchip info and my contact info on. His tags. |

| I don't know if you'd want to try this or not, I got a package of the lobster claw clasps and use them- one for rabies & ID and others for bling. Easily change out to whatever their wearing |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Roxy wears a collar just for her tags. I got a small/JR. size 'Rubit' (pretty sure that's the correct name) clip so I could change her collar & easily switch tags as I wanted. Love it! She doesn't wear harness all the time, so at least with collar, she always has her tags on. The sound of the tags help around home just so I can hear where she's at. If she's on the move & not in sight, I want to know it.

| Callie wears a collar all the time except bath time with her tags on it and I use a harness when ever I need to use the leash. I feel that they should have a collar on all the time just for the tags incase they dash out the front door or something like that plus the little clink of the tags will wake me up at night when I'm sleeping if she gets up and is walking around needing to go out or not feeling well or during the day I will know where she is.

Good idea. I'm getting them both collar's today. Do you guys recommend a break away collar just in case she gets snagged on something? Also , do you leave the collar on at night ? Chloe sleeps in a playyard type of thing , so I don't think their is anything she can snag on in their , but I was planning on taking my big dogs ( well she's about 11 lbs) collar off at night when she gets in her crate so she can't snag on anything.

| Couver wears his collar with his ID tag and rabies tag. I used to have his microchip tag on him until I heard if someone steals your dog and knows they have a microchip, they might try to dig it out So that is now off of is collar. I like knowing that he has some sort of identification on him at all times... even though he has a microchip, I do not think that is enough if he is lost. I figure it is one more way of getting my baby back if he is lost, so it is definitely worth having on at ALL times
