| Nutra Ultra Holistic Puppy Food? Any info? I went to get my puppy her food the breeder was giving her but it turned out to be nutra small adult not puppy and the Nutra rep at the store strongly advised me to get a puppy one after looking at all the ones in there lines she showed me to there Newest line that is the Ultra and its supposed to be very high quality. I ended up getting that food and my pup loves it and I love that it seems really healthy for her. However I really wanted to try wellness cuz thats the only USDA grade one I heard of. Does anyone know if Nutra Ultra Holistic Puppy Food is a good food or not? thanks for your time =) |

| Nutra Ultra When I got Belle she came home with some brand of Pet Smart food that she refused to eat. My husband went and bought a few different cans of wet food that he said had good ingred. for puppies. The only one Belle would eat was the Nutra Ultra for puppies. She just turned 1 and I switched to the regular adult food. She still loves that. She is so spoiled that I heat her food for her and she gets fed with a fork (I know another really spoiled dog!) She also had the dry but doesn't rally care for it. Of course her Lab brother eats dry Pedigree small bites and she loves that. I figure it's better than her not eating. Vet said she was really healthy and doing great so I guess it can't be too bad. |

| Okay thanks for that information. Its good to know others experiences with it. I noticed that it makes her breath smell alot better then the other brand I guess cuz theres no colors and perservatives in this food. So far so good I mean it has realy great ingredients. Thanks so much angeleyes! =D |

Nutro's not a great company a lot of us have faith in - they've had some quality control issues in the past. I would suggest that you consider looking around and thinking about purchasing another high quality food - in part largely because at the price you're paying you can afford another brand with better quality control and less issues. You might even find you spend less! Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Halo, Natural Balance and Solid Gold are a couple good high quality foods that are really starting to be stocked by a lot of the chain pet food stores. Your options might really open up more if you take a look at what else might be around you (like feed stores, or use the "find retailer" links on some of the manufacturer websites) or by ordering off the net. | |

| when I first had my first yorkie ( few year back then),Nutro was the brand I used. I do not feed or recommend anybody feeding their dogs Nutro due to the recalls. ( I personally know a friend who feed her puppies Nutro wet punches and died from it)
