| Carrier for larger yorkie??? I just got a yorkie a couple of weeks ago and he is on the larger size at 9 1/2 lbs at 9 months. I would really like to get a carrier for him, but have never had a smaller dog and not sure if they are good for his size or not. Any advice??? Thanks!!!

| Unless you are using it for air travel or for keeping him confined in the car, I wouldn't recommend putting him in a carrier. He'd just be too heavy to carry around. The tinies or smaller yorkies can be put in a designer carrier and carried around with you. I can't imaging carrying my Tink around in a bag while I was shopping. She weighs 9 lbs. and my shoulder would be screaming. I have a Sherpa "Delta" for Tink when we fly. Otherwise, she goes on leash and harness or stays home. Gere's a link to what I have (I didn't pay that much though. (I'm a comparison shopper!) Amazon.com: Sherpa Pet Delta Air Lines Deluxe Pet... |

| Laya is a bigger girl too, and she is way to heavy to carry for any extended amount of time. She is around 8 lbs. When I go places that I need her contained I put her in her stroller. She lovesl it and it is so easy to just wheel her around. The stroller has come in handy so many times. I just keep it in the back of the car so it's always available if we need it.

| my opinion I think if I were you I'd get a pet gear stroller. If you really want a bag carrier, look at the new york dog cape cod carrier. |
