| alternative to pet steps? I just bought a new king bed and it is too high for Romeo to hop up. I don't care for the look of pet steps and king size benches cost a fortune. Any ideas?

| Do you have room for a ramp? How about a chair that he could jump on, from there he could jump on the bed?

| I have a chest at the end of my bed. They use it to get on our bed. It has a cloth top and I have a blanket over it.

| I made my own ramp with a huge pillow. I layed a towel over it for traction. It is built on the hope chest whick leads to the bed. I have a tall king bed too. If they wake up during the night they go down it do their business and come back up. I take it down in the morning. It works well.

| I have an ottoman on the side of the bed for Milo. I put it there after his hip surgery. He will use it to get on the bed but he just jumps off without it. You can probably find a ottoman at a garage sale this time of year and then just get some fabric that matches your bedding to cover it. |

| We have a plastic tote box (one of the 19 gallon ones) next to the bed. It's not pretty but it's functional. We first put it there for our 18 yr old cat, she could no longer jump on the high bed. Once we let Charlotte sleep on the bed we put a blanket over it so she could get up too. She wouldn't use it before because it was too slippery without something on it. She's only 3 lbs and our bed is really high but it's perfect and cheap! LOL

| Im crazy about decorative pillows on the bed, so at night when im about to go to bed i pile them on the floor like little steps and he uses them as a jump start to get on the bed. you could try that if u have extra pillows. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have the scamp ramps by mmy bed and my dtrs and they only use them to egt up and down. I think they were about 100.00 shipped. Well worth it since it stops them from jumping.

| Make your own ramp. Measure to fit your bed and if you go to Lowes or any lumber place they will cut it for you. Cover it with a matching sheet or any other material to match your bedroom decor. Shouldn't cost more than $20.00.

| That is a great idea...I love it! I do not like the look of stairs/ramps next to the bed, but your idea is perfect! |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I wish I had gotten the ramp, I got the steps which she will use to get up on the bed but I think they are to steep since our bed sits high. So she won't go down them at all, she jumps if we aren't fast enough to stop her. The cat who doesn't need steps at all goes up and down them all the time! Go figure.

| I have a small ramp, that I got at petsmart a while back, that is easily moved from bed to couch or wherever. I think it was around 65.oo The furkids have fun with it, lol This is an old video, but it shows the ramp at the end of the bed and how well they get on and off it. The video is just 90 seconds long
