| Love our new "Big Shrimpy" As most of you know, Shelby, our little girl Yorkie had Patella surgery a little over a year ago, and now is having probs with an ACL tear (a slight tear that we are trying our best to avoid another surgery..... via confinement and physical therapy). I have been looking for a good firm bed that would work good for her. Her favorite bed is a little bit too soft and she "sinks" a little in it. It made it difficult for her to get in and out of it...... I also don't think it was as good for her as a therapuetic bed would be. Today I hit the jackpot!! I found the original Big Shrimpy Bed. It is made well...she LOVES the suede-like fabric because it isn't too hot. It is firm and also comfy........ plus I have read on the website that the "fill" in the bed doesn't breakdown like some of the beds that you can buy. It has a 1 year guarantee, and is completely washable. Shelby really likes it and I think it will help her be more comfortable. She is sleeping in it right now..... with her blanket . I am so PLEASED with this product.......... Check it out!!!! BigShrimpy.com

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Awwww, that's GREAT girl!! I am so glad that you found a bed that Shelby loves! Which bed is it on the site that she has? Is it the Original? It sounds fantastic! How is she doing by the way??? I have been thinking about her!

I can truly say that I can see some improvement. She is putting some weight on her left (the ACL problem side) leg. She kind of does a "hop" if I catch her trying to go faster than she should when she is out of her crate during snack, drink, and potty breaks. Of course I immediately put a stop to that......... I am NOT going to give her the chance to make it worse. Absolutely NO running!!! Silly little wild, hyper, non-stop, mischievous girl!!! I can't wait to take her to the Rehabilitation Center on Thursday. I am so excited to see if it helps her.......... and also Shelby's reaction to see her friend (the physical therapist). She really liked her....... and she LOVED the ultrasound therapy....... it was her favorite!! Thank-you for asking about her!! .............. and how is Miss Tate coming along? Can you see improvement in her knees? Has she stopped favoring them? It is such a LONG healing process....... 6 weeks seemed endless..... plus I was still "mothering" for WEEKS after that! (I am afraid that an ACL surgery recovery could be even longer... )
