Default Boots?

Does anyone's little ones wear little boots on walks, and do they stay on their little feet? Is there one brand that stays on better than another?
Sometimes, the concrete is just so hot, that I don't want to take my girls for a walk.

And, do they stay on, when you carry your little one?

They seem really expensive, so I don't want to buy any, unless a lot of people have used them, and feel they really work.

Thanks.

Well I got some from target for $9.99, but I have yet to take Porscha on a walk with them on. They stay on her feet pretty well if you make sure they are tight enough with the velcro. But she doesn't like to walk in them really it may take some time to get them use to having something on their feet.

Hi, Andrea.

It's nice to hear that the little boots stay on their feet. I think, my girls will adjust to them, if I put them on right before we head out for a walk. But the ones at Target are a little too big for my little ones tootsies.

Thanks.

Sheila

boots

I have gone through many different types of boots on Merlot because of wet weather and also the cold. Mine and his favorites (comfort) are felt ones with velcro that you can get at Petco online. They are adjustable and stay on really well. Plus they don't hinder him when he walks. Good Luck!!

Did your Target have different sizes? Mine just has size small and the package says it fits dogs up to 10#s. My girls are 4#s and 6.5#s, so I didn't think they'd wear the same size, comfortably.

Let me know how Porscha likes them on a walk, ok?

booties

I just bought Huey booties for the winter. I got them on ebay from a lady who custom makes the booties for the dog in any size. I got the extra small ones and they fit great. You should do a search for them on there. She will make them in many different colors as well.

Is does take several times for your dog to get used to them. My chihuahau is used to them and does just fine wearing them but I havent really tried with my yorkie too much(she has just worn them for fun a few times, not for actual walks). The ones that have a velcro strap around the top do stay on pretty good(in my experience). Target does have one size pink boots for $9.99. I also carry some different styles(2 different sizes) on my website for $18.99 which is $15.20 after the 20% off Yorkie Talk discount .

Oh, my goodness, your baby's look just too cute in those little boots! I'm off to your site to check them out. Such a reasonable price.

I have a pair of the ones from Target(small, I don't think ours has other sizes either). Reagan is 4.5 lbs and they fit her fine. She hasn't really gotten used to them yet but she doesn't wear them that much either. Mainly just when people are over (every once in a while) to show them her little shoes and even then its only for like 5 minutes. It does say on the package to build up the length of time you let the wear them. Like start out at 10 minutes then 20 then so on. Oh and one last thing they do stay on well. I haven't had any problems with them falling off or her even getting them off for that matter. Good luck on finding the right pair.

I'll bet Reagan looks adorable in those little boots. She's so cute! I'm glad to hear they stay on well. I was worried that I'd be walking along, losing a boot here and there.

Oh, she does look adorable in her boots and pink-T! Ah, but less than thrilled. Looks just like my Kia, in her new dress recently. wouldn't even look at me.
