| Carpet - BAD stains How do you all get really bad stains out of your carpet without a steam cleaner? I heard you can use a vinegar/water mixture, but how well does that work? And do you have to scrub it?

| I've used the vigegar/water mixture for some carpet stains, but they were pretty mild. I soaked up the pee and then scrubed it with the mixture. Worked fine, but I don't know with bad stains. The above product suggested would probably be a better option. |

| Quote: Have you thought about buying a steam cleaner? You can buy a portable one for around $50. It's been well worth our investment.. I'm not sure what I would do without ours!

| I've had one of the bissell little green spot deep cleaner machine, there is a pet solution thats made for it. it has worked wonders for me not only it cleans/scrubs the stain, it also sucks all the dirty mess/solution back in the waste tank in the machine, and dries the carpet instantly. its def. a good investment

| sorry I just reread the original post(typical of me not reading carefully the first time). the one I got is not one of those giant steam cleaner, its pretty compact, very easy to carry around and store. and def. cheaper than the full size cleaners
