| Free Sample of Greenies I got mine this week. Samson was on medication at the time I requested the sample so I got "pill pockets" and a sample of the bones. Free Sample |

| What a coincidence! I was just reading on the Health & Diet thread how unsafe the 'new' Greenies still are. They're known to cause obstructions.

| There are many stories out there about Greenies (most from 2005). If they are as bad as some sites say, why are they still being sold, if they are killing dogs? I broke the bone in small pieces and gave Samson a small "bite size" piece. He's not too keen on hard treats anyway, so I probably won't buy them. The pill pockets are soft. Haven't tried them yet. |

| That's ashame. Even the "high end" pet suppliers carry them. I won't be giving them anymore, I just had heard that the new ones were ok. Thanks for the info. |

| I have heard horrible stories about Greenies as well, but it was with their old "formula." I know they changed how they make them because I guess before, you could hardly bend them which I'm assuming was why they were causing so many obstructions. With their new formula, now you can bend them and they're supposedly easier to digest. I do give them to my furbaby, but I monitor her closely when she eats them. She absolutely loves them, but probably once she finishes up the container, I'm not sure if I'll buy them anymore. I also give her the Twistix which I think she loves way more than Greenies. Plus, the Twistix are wheat and corn free! |

| Amen Sista! I would never ever knowingly feed anything that comes from the company that manufacturers Greenies. |

| My neighbor gave me a package of greenies for Pasquale for Xmas. The package i have says not to give it to dog smaller than 5lb or to puppies 6 months or younger. Pasquale is right around the 5lb mark...so i dont think i want to give them to him.

| Did you know that this warning is on their website in the FAQ section and they say it is on packages because dog less than 5 pounds or less than 6 months old may not have proper chewing capabilities or something to that effect. So if a dog is 4.5 pounds, it doesn't know how to chew properly?

| Hartz makes a flea shampoo that has made dog and kitties sick and even killed some and yet they continue to sell it. Some companies dont have our pets best interest in mind and so we all have to be careful of products we buy. Just because its on the stores shelves doesnt mean its safe
