YT 500 Club Member | Book about Yorkies Can anyone recommend a good, comprehensive book about Yorkies? I'd like to include a little history, training, health problems (including how to know when something is wrong), grooming and bathing tips, etc. I'd really like it to be the ONE book I purchase about Yorkies. I live in Korea and the English section of the local bookstore is extremely limited, so I can't flip through all the Yorkie books in a Barnes and Noble to find a good one. Any recommendations?? Right now I'm thinking about getting the Yorkies for Dummies book, but I'm guessing there's a better one out there.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I've got several yorkie books and the best one is "The Complete Yorkshire Terrier" by Joan B Gordon and Janet E Bennett. It's an older book but still valuable information. I've seen it on ebay and amazon.

| 1) The Guide to Owning a Yorkshire Terrier, by Elizabeth Downing 2) A New Owner's Guide to Yorkshire Terriers, by Janet Jackson (not Micheal Jackson's sister) 3) Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies, by Tracy Barr (i actually really like this one) 4) Animal Planet's Yorkshire Terriers, by Wendy Bedwell-Wilson (its fun but not as informative) 5) The Essential Yorkshire Terrier - Howell Book House I got all of these from Amazon.com |

I actually really like the Yorkies for Dummies, it goes through every thing from finding a reputable breeder, understanding the purchasing contact, reading a certificate of pedigree, understanding how to read whats in your dog food, sickness, some grooming, how to socialize, etc. It really has a lot of information. Although it is very YTCA bias....so if you are into Parties or Brewers you maynot like pg. 30 But in all very good...my opinoin. | |
