| Puppy Hairdo's My little Reese is 11 wks. and hates when I try to play with the hair ontop of her head, so I wait until she falls asleep and slip a bow in real quick. Where can I buy puppy bows? Does your puppy sit still when you play with his/her hair? What bows are the best to use? I just bought some regular baby bows (in the newborn section) and snapped them into her hair, but when she shakes her head hard, it flies out, and I don't want her to end up eating it! Do they make special "Puppy bows"? Should I use a hair tie THEN add a bow? I need some serious advice on making her beautified. LOL! |

| It'll take some time for her to get used to the bows and hairbands. I only use hairbands in Mahina's hair or else she'll just shake them out. At first she would rub her head all over the floor and try to take them out, now she's used to it. She would even run away if she saw me with the bag of rubberbands! Now she know's it's going to happen so she just lays there for me. Took her a couple of months and I almost gave up, but stick with it! I use these in her hair... Ryan's Pet. If your pup has enough hair you can use those mini hair bands or mini scrunchies they have in the lil kid areas... but they easily slip out, so I'd wait till she was used to them. If you're going to use the dental type of rubber bands or even the ones I linked you to , cut them out or you'll end up taking out some of her hair. ETA: I rarely put actual bows in her hair cuz her friend (a little chihuahua) will just pull them out! But I make them with simple ribbon, they aren't fancy or anything.
