| A step in harness or vest harness would work great, there is a member here who makes custom step in harnesses that are well loved in the community so you couldn't go wrong. Chattiesmom I believe is her username

| I like the step in harnesses they fit over jackets/sweaters really well. If you get a vest harness just buy a size bigger than it'll fit over outerwear. A collar's great for in the house. But, When taking them out I prefer a harness...

| Mine have the buddy belt. I can pick them up with a pull on the the leash if trouble occurs. Good luck in your search.

| HI there.. newbe here, anyway I make fabulous leather step through harnesses, and highly recommend them for little ones! You have to protect their little trachea. Annnd your pup will realize that he/she cant pull on the lead..it dosn't work with a harness because the are very secure. |

| The "Boyz" wear step in harnesses. See my album. They are good for not hurting the trachea on smaller/toy dogs. We got ours from a Dog Shop a couple of towns north of us. Not cheap but well worth the $$.
