| Finally bought a Kong... Well I finally bought Pippin a Kong after hearing so much praise for the product. And the verdict is.....he loooooves it! I gave it to him today with a small dog treat inside to see what he would do with it, and he has been chewing and licking at it for about an hour and a half strait so far! My in laws are coming to visit next week, so I figured this would be the perfect thing to keep him occupied while we are out playing tour guides all day. I just hope he doesn't get bored with it.

YT Addict | Baylee loves hers!! I have found that if I put it up for a few days when she does get it back she spends more time with it.

| I bought Pepper one not too long after I got him and he has never touched it. I bought it because of everything I had heard here about them. I try to get him interested every now and then but it is still a no-go.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That's Joey, everytime I read about someone saying their dog loves it, I want to try it again. Maybe if I put a steak in there he'd go for it.

| I think Pepper just doesn't like the hard rubber.

I Love My Babies Donating Member | It could be the treat you have in it. Try putting something your baby loves inside. See if that makes a difference. I bought 2 of the bubble like Kings and 1 if the bone shaped Kong's. My babies attacked the bubble shaped ones but would not touch the other one. I finally figured out it was what I put in it. I put the little doggie treat bones in the bone shaped one.. they didn't like them. But when I sawed one of the stick treats in half.. and put half in each end. (after taking a sharp chopping knife and making it smaller around) they loved it too.

| I have heard people put peanut butter around the edges and freeze it. It will last longer and they love it. I use the cookies but mine will take spells at it. But the big dog loves it. He knows if he throws it they will bounce out and then its a free for all they all look for it.

| there's another thread called "what do you put in your kong" with some helpful suggestions on what people put in their kongs. After I read that thread, I started getting creative with my kong and I put baby food with a tiny bit of low fat cream cheese and some puppy kibble, and freeze it. Wall-E loves it and I love trying new things to see if he'll like it.... he's not a big fan of the peanut butter though. He took one lick and he never touched it after that. |

| Skipper had a blue and white marbelized one for puppies, it was nice and soft. I lost it at a friend's house, I think her dog took it. Anyway, I got him a red one and it's harder rubber, not as soft as the one for puppies. He barely plays with the red one. When I get a chance, I am going to buy him the marbelized Kong for puppies. |
