| Bow Review - M'Lady's Dog Bows & The Diva-Dog Bowtique It has taken me over a week to get around to doing this but I feel it would be a help to others to give these two online shops a review. Pebbles has thin, silky hair (so things slip out easily) and she is a small dog (2.8 pounds) so bows that are too big not only look odd on her, but weigh her top knot down and eventually fall out no matter how I tie them in. I have found that I prefer bows with the small french clips, as I can clip them in front of the grooming bands against her head and they stay in for the whole day. I give M'Lady's Dog Bows a 4 1/2 out of a 5 and I give The Diva-Dog Bowtique a 3 out of a 5. I will explain why. Marjorie from M'Lady's has the option of letting you pick, not only various backings (3 different types of clips with the addition of the rubber band option) and you can change the bows to single loop as well as create your own bow all together by mix and matching the fabrics she has with the centers she provides. This is great for me because pebbles only really looks good in 5/8 single loop bows, and as i said, I prefer the french clip backs. Also I get to create my own bows that fit my preference. She has some hello kitty ones available that I really like. They are very well made and the center pieces are sewn in instead of being glued on, which means they will last longer. I ordered around 20 custom bows from her and I got them in less than 5 days. Bravo!! The reason why M'lady does not get a full 5 stars, is because i feel the bows are a tad expensive, and I feel it would be better if there was a discount for larger/bulk orders or a discount for YT members. However, they are relatively cheap compared to what you would spend purchasing one of these bows at a doggie retail store--but purchasing a lot of them can add up $$ quickly. With The Diva-Dog Bowtique there is more of a variety of premade bows, and she is very creative, but the bows in the small sizes I need, DO NOT come with the option of having a clip or barrette backing. Only rubber bands--she is very adamant about this, believing that small dogs will choke on the clips, and will not custom add them. Her bows are well made and the center pieces are also sewn on, but they are very very hard. The loops of the bows are also very circular in shape, as if made by placing the ribbons around a pencil and not removing them until they are dry. Most of the bows that are available are double looped, which makes them big and heavy, and with only the rubber band backing, i find the bows drooping downward toward pebbles head. The one bow I got that was single looped seemed a lot better, but again I had the drooping problem. Her rubberbands are also very thick and tiny, hard to open and put on properly without feeling like you are going to A. break the band, or B. your finger. Some might see this as a plus, thinking that the rubber bands are of good quality, but for me it just makes them super hard to put on--and I have tiny fingers! Her new hello kitty bows are basically what put her over the top to get a 3. I love the center pieces, more than M'Lady's hello kitty center pieces. They seem more authentic, and the design of the bow is very nice. I really like those ones. I wish I could change the backing of them somehow, then I would be more likely to actually use them. Another thing, what brings her score down was that I did not order a lot of bows from this website, yet I believe it took well over 3 weeks, possibly 4 for them to be delivered to me. I actually thought my order had been forgotten towards the end. I was very disappointed in this aspect of their service when compared to M'Lady, and it kind of puts me off buying from them again. I am providing some pictures of the bows i purchased so you can get an idea of the quality and looks of the bows. Please excuse my unmanicured fingernails! lol I hope these reviews are helpful to someone! 1. Assortment of custom made 5/8 single loop M'lady Dog Bows 2. close up of one 3. close up of another one 4. side view, so you can see how thick they are and how big the clip is/how it is attached second set of Diva-Dog Bowtique bow's coming up next... |

| Thanks for the review. I have seriously over 40-50 bows from Marjorie from M'Lady's Bows. I love her bows and she is always game in helping you match an outfit. I have one other webite I buy bows from also I am very very picky. I have tried almost all the rest I think and I keep coming back time and time again to Marj. I have tried Ebay I have tried local I have tried other bow sites and none compare in customer service and quality. I don't think I have ever had a complaint. I haven't tried Diva Dog so I can't say aye or nay. I currently have over 100 bows for the fluffs. And I have a list that I haven't given Marj yet on new ones.

| Thankyou for the detailed reviews. I'm sure they will be very helpful to those buying bows in the future. I've ordered many bows from Ladymom (M'Lady Dog Bows) and will continue to order from her in the future. They are so well-made and she is extremely fast at getting them made and mailed out. I'm extremely picky about the clothing and bows I put on my dog, and I have 100% trust in Ladymom designing a bow to match any outfits I send pictures of. I've never been disapointed. I have to make my own comment about the price. I've recently learned how to make bows myself and have made probably 200 bows over the last month. It is a very time-consuming process to make stiffened show-bows. I asked Ladymom one time how long it took her to make one bow and she said 30 minutes per bow. After making my own bows I can tell you that it DOES take about that long to make a single bow, and that's not including the time you spend stiffening the bows and letting them dry and harden. I've paid $10-$20 PER BOW before I joined YT so I was shocked that Ladymom's bows were only $4.00 ($4.75 with a barrette...but I prefer bands). You won't find great quality bows for any cheaper than that, I can guarantee you....the only option is making them yourself if you want to save money, and like I said..it's time consuming.

| Marj's bows expensive? You'll probably hate me for this but I've told her more than once in the past that she needs to raise her prices. LOL Marj's bows are great quality especially compared to the store ones that charge twice as much. IMO You are getting a great deal from her already (especially with all the custom options) wether buying in bulk or not. I love Marj's bows! |

| Hey Everyone, Teresa from The Diva-Dog Bowtique here.... Thanks for the review on my bows.... Running across this post might be a great thing for me.... Gives me a little idea as to what a few may think of my quality.... I was just wondering why you would not want the bows to be stuff (or Hard) I've never heard this before..... After a few time of wear the bows start to lose their stuffiness and then they are just like the ones that are not stiffened as much..... This gives you many more times to use them.... Also on the bands, what size does everyone what???? I use the smaller ones so the bands on the bows won't have to be double over.... (the bands on the back of the bow are not to be used to hold the hair, that is what grooming bands are for) You are always welcome to let me know if you want something different..... I do many custom requests.... As for barrettes.... They are a huge choking hazard and I do not want anyone to experience anything horrible... You know our fur-babies are our babies.... I have 2 of my own..... Yes my time from is a little long but it does take time to make a beautiful bow.... Other's who make bows are up to 5 months.... Check out Dog Bows and Dog Show Bows by Doggie Bow Ties (5 Months) and Dog Bows by Haley - High Quality Dog Bows, Dog Show Bows & Accessories(13-16 weeks).... Gosh I didn't mean for this to become such a long post but I did want to get a few points across.... Well, with all said.... I am running a sale for a couple of more days (15% off all orders $15 or more)..... If you would like to get in on it you are welcome to join.... Just use coupon code JULY3DAYSALE (Just remember my time wait will be a little long especially since the sale) Thanks for you time in reading what I have to say..... Teresa |

I've never ordered from you so I have no idea what size you use. I buy bands that are the 5/16" size, and it seems like the bows I buy have bands that size as well. I usually wrap the band on a bow twice after I already have the topknot put up with a grooming band. I personally prefer bands myself, but many people do prefer barrettes. Almost anything could be a choking hazard...it's all about being careful. I think it's a good idea for bow-makers to offer a barrette option for those that prefer it.
