| Small Bike Dog Basket/Carrier? Anyone sell these on Yorkie Talk or have a suggestion where I might find a good quality one?

| I too am interested in one. I saw one a while back that was around $90, which I thought was crazy! Then, I found one on petedge.com which is much cheaper. I am thinking of getting the cheaper one even though its not as pretty. Let me know if you find one!

| I bought a wire one at a bike store and then I ordered from e-mail a basket cover that is material with a matching pillow so I just put a harness on Teddi and clip her to the wire and she sits int he basket. The material cover is good because when you get to your destination you can pull it out and it becomes a puppy purse!

| I bought a wicker (sp?) basket at our local bike shop (its really cute!). I took the safety strap out of Mia's car seat and zip tied it to the basket and hooked Mia's harness to it.

| I think the company that sells the wicker cruiser basket is Midnight Pass ($75). They also have a soft bicycle pet seat/carrier - not sure of the price but I think it is around $50. |

| Perfect Yorkie Bike Basket--KLICK-Fix I found the perfect Yorkie Bicycle Basket after months of looking. I started with my local bike shop which only had an inferior wicker basket with no accomodations to make the dog comfortable, safe and secure. I then found what appeared to be a better basket from Midnight Pass. I ordered it and weeks later, after charging my credit card, they still could not tell me when they would ship it so I cancelled. I went to Google and did a little international research and found the perfect basket from a German company, Rixen Kaul. It is called the Doggy. I found a few US retailers after some difficulty. This one had the best prices and was great to work with. www.thorusa.com Click on KLICK-fix in the left column. The DOGGY bag is fabulous! Size: 15" x 11" x 10" Weight capacity: 15.4 lbs. This bag has a padded bottom, a click strap that you hook through the dog's harness so it cannot jump out, all parts of it are removable and washable. It makes a fantastic carrier. I have taken our 9 lb Yorkie, Zoee, to the library, bank, and drug store on my bike and then the KLICK-fix comes off the bike so easily--the push of a button. The Doggy is a fantastic carrier for shopping with the dog. It has a rain cover and can be sealed up enough that the dog is contained--required for taking a dog on the DC subway. I've enjoyed riding the dog around and usung the bag as a carrier so much that my spouse also got a KLICK-fix bracket for his bike. It is really nice to see technology--even a bike bag and bracket--make my life easier. |

| We have the PetCruiser Wicker Bike Basket. It was around $70. I really like that it has a wire framed "lid" that straps on so if you fall over for any reason, your babies head are protected and they remain contained. It does not come with a tether, but that was easy enough to remedy. I purchase an inexpensive coupler and wove it through the part where the basket attaches to the frame of the bike. I also added a much fluffier cushion to the bottom of the basket for comfort.
