Question ~~I Have A Strange Question??~~

I was thinking about getting this food and watering system for the babies, How ever I then started to think.... Isn't it bad for them to use plastic containers for food and water? So would these be bad for them then?

If it's manufactured in China...I'd pass. Plastic items can be lead contaminated...that was the reason behind not feeding pets out of plastic food/water dishes.

I'll tell you something if you promise not to laugh.

I bought the food one, however I thought it was the water one. See where this is going?

Got home, all excited, filled it with water, flipped it over and whoosh, couldn't figure out why all the darn water kept coming out!!!

duh, anyway. If you want it you can have it. I only have the one though. LOL

I had a cat once that we fed out of a plastic bowl and he got a bacterial infection on his chin from bacteria that can stay in the small cuts of the plastic. He was put on steroids but didn't react well to them and had to be put down!! I wouldn't use plastic for any of my animals again!!

I'm so sorry you lost your kitty from the infection. I used to feed my cats from plastic bowls too and they would get a sore/infection on their chins so I stopped using too.

Petmate Le Bistro Feeder & Waterer Combo - New Puppy Center - PetSmart
There is another feeder that cost a bit more by Petmate. It is the Automatic Le Bistro Feeder. Check that out and there is a fountain system that people seem to like. Best price I found for the feeder was on petguys.com. I haven't completely decided on getting it yet.

Love I have the water fountain

tucker has the water fountain one by petmate, actually we have two of them It is made out of a very hard plastic, so I doubt very much that it could get cuts in it for bacteria to grow in. Plus, they are licking at it, not chewing on it. I think you'd be okay
