| It says "Using the Roman style harness, pressure is removed from the trachea, a relatively fragile area." But the step-in looks good too.

| I can see why the roman looks better for the tracea, but at the same time so does the step in.

| I have a step in harness by Dogo. I will NEVER use another brand. I adore the harnesses and they keep my dogs safe. And they look cute too! Just the other day my vet commented on how neat the Dogo harness is. Also is is perfect to go in a carseat for dogs, it easily straps on to the pre existing buckles.

| I like the step in harness. I really like the Puppia harness we recently purchased for Sophie. She seems really comfortable in it and it doesn't pull on her neck. |

| We use a step in harness similar to those you are looking at. It works good for and easy to put on, except for when Gabby wants to bite it! |

| I got a gentle lead hardness because it teaches dogs to not pull on the leash and even walk by your side (if you hold the leash short). prices range with supplies. I wanted one quickly and picked it up at my local PetSmart - and they helped me adjust it to his size and taught me how to put it on. It's really confusing to know at first, but once someone shows you it makes sense! |

| I only use the step in harnesses that Chattismom (Cindy) makes. They are no where near the throat, made of silk so as not to mat the hair up so bad and come in colors you can't even buy in any store. |

| The Step In Harness I personally prefer the step in harness, and Zoe has never slipped out of it. Quote:

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I use both a step in or a buddy belt as well. Both are really good. I love the step in from shana at tinkerbells closet because it's a leash and harness all in one so I only have one step and it's in and out fast. The buddy belt is also good. | I would recommend the Roman Style, we have a Lupine H style and we do like it but it tends to slip around since there is no strap across the bottom, and it tends to run on the bottom of the neck more than I prefer.

| I would say my fav is the step in harness that Cindy (chattiesmom) makes they are great fit. Cindy does a wonderful job on them. That is the only kind that I will use. She has a wide selection of colors to choose from, and they silk so they won't knot up there hair. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...elections.html Once you use her harness you won't like any other ones.

| Harness As far as I'm concerned having had a slew of pets, the best harness is one that buckles underneath. You have probably seen them in pet stores. It just slips over the head and buckles underneath. It's not anywhere near the treachea. I've tried those fancy harnesses, and I have had one guy that could usually find a way out of them. It's your call to try before you buy! |
