| Blades for Oster A5 golden I read and searched the website but really couldnt find an answer. I'm getting Oster A5 golden and it comes with #10 blade only - i know what it is for . I also want to cut my baby's coat (puppy cut) but don't understand what blades i need to get and combs or both. Can someone please explain me how it works? i read about the length each blade cuts and think to get number 3F. Please someone help Last edited by watson; 05-08-2008 at 06:38 AM. |

| I bought all my supplies from petedge.com, I purchased the 40 blade and that is used for the ears and with all the combs. You can buy the full Oster comb set on there also. You put the comb on with the 40 blade to do the puppy cut. I used the 1" comb but you can use any length you want. Hope this helps. Also, SueNCricket sell a really good grooming DVD which shows how to do a puppy cut!!

| I bought the same clippers from Petedge and mine came free wit the Whisper finisher and that included the 40 blade. I also bought a set of combs made by Millers Forge.

| thanks a lot:-) I ordered a5 oster golden with 2 speed (new, not refub)- comes with number 10 blade for 116.00. Model OS-78005-140 then number 40 blade for 14.99 and comb set for 14 dollars with 15 % rebate from Oster at goodmans.net. I couldn't find a better deal even on ebay. Will try and post pictures soon:-) |
