My Lil Man! Donating Member | Need carrier advice... I am wanting to upgrade Reeses carrier. Whenever I put him in there and he lays down everything is fine, but once he stands up and pokes his head out the hole it gets head-end heavy and I have to hold the straps with one hand and put my other hand under it to keep him from tilting downwards causing him to look at the ground. I am scared he might fall out even tho it has a harness latch. So I want something a little more sturdy but I dont want it too big and look like luggage. I want it to be sort of discrete looking to where it looks like a purse but "surprise" its not! Lol. The first pic is the one just like what I have, the second is similar to what I think I might like to have but I would like some opinions and suggestions on some good ones from you. Oh and Im not worried about airline approved or anything...I dont plan to fly with him...hopefully i wont have to fly at all (not a big fan of planes and heights). THANKS!!! |

| I have the VB carrier and it is very balanced. I know what you are talking about when they shift forward. The problem with the VB carrier is that there really is no hole for them to poke their head out of. You can kind of leave it open but it's not meant to fold down like many are. When I don't need Sam fully enclosed I take a different carrier. I also have a sling that I like a lot!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have the PetsFly wings carrier and love it. It is a little heavy but I have the medium and all 3 of my yorkies can fit in it. And the bottom is very solid.

| Awww ... Reeses is not heavy at all. But I guess he sits at the opening with all his weight leaving nothing for the other end. HEhe ... how cute! I use the Louis Vuitton Baxter. It's super structured and very sturdy. It's kind of heavy too so it doesn't really tilt. You can try finding a carrier with a very stiff bottom. GL |

| It's hard to explain but there is no roll down part just for the head. The top zips across and the side zips up to meet it and there is a clasp to join the two. There is no way to leave the side down and secure it - it just kind of flaps there if you want it unzipped. You can either fold the top flap back and stick it under the zipper pull or do the same with the side, but neither is "secure"

Does anyone have a Juicy Couture carrier? What yorkie weight would be best in them? There is a black nylon one that is cute and I feel like if my boyfriend had to carry it through the airport he wouldn't be embarrassed. My Lula is only 3 pounds at 6 months so are there any carriers that would fit her but not so huge it would overwhelm her little body? | |
