| Emu Oil??? The woman who does Vinnie's hair (who I can't stand!) suggested I use, what I believe she said was Emu Oil after his bath.......he has a Cotton Coat. I love the woman who owns the pet salon, but I can't stand the woman who does his hair, she's a horror story/accident waiting to happen, and she's so condescending. 2 months ago when I took him he had a mat behind his ear from scratching, well she missed it, and this time decided to berate me for this mat, which I lovingly pointed out she missed last time......before I vent too much....I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this oil?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I bought it but only used it once. It seemed ok but I thought it made Cali's coat get dirty faster.

| My Roxie has a cotton coat too. I have been keeping it short because it mats so easy. I would love to grow it out but I don't think its possible. I noticed her hair has gotten more curl to it than ever. I have tried so many shampoos and so far I am only mildly satisfied. If you ever find anything worth using again, please let me know.

I buy my Emu oil from a company called Laid In Montana.... their website is: www.laidinmt.com . The people at the sight are extremely helpful and the shipping is fast. The 100 % Pure Monta Emu Oil is rather pricey, however a few drops go a long long way. On a side note, even though you didn't ask, I think I would find another groomer. Even if she were the best groomer in the whole wide world, I would sacrifice a bit of grooming skill for more people skills. Good Luck! btw.... I just gave Chattie a bath and her Emu Oil Treatment and my hands feel TERRIFIC! Last edited by chattiesmom; 10-30-2007 at 11:56 AM. | |

| I had been useing JoJoBa oil on my skin and hair and thought it just may help with the girls skin and hair especially since were getting into the dry air winter season. I put some in their conditioner and what a difference it made in their hair. So soft and easily brushed. http://www.jojobaking.com/?gclid=CJD...god1Bu8dA#uses |

| I have been using Emu Oil for more than a year now and am a loyal consumer. Every person that has felt his fur always say his fur felt very soft and asks what I use. I only use it once a week right after his bath. It doesn't make him get dirty faster it actually softens his fur and he feels like a baby.

| I just received mine from here http://www.dog-bows.com/cgi-bin/TheF...=RP&category=4 It is really important to use only 1 -4 drops rubbed into thier coat. If they are getting dirty faster, it is because too much oil has been put on their coat and too much oil attracts dirt. Sonya

| I haven't used emu oil on Mojo's hair, but there is a man locally who has an emu farm and I have bought fresh 100% emu oil from him when my daughter burned her leg on the 4 wheeler exhaust. ((which it worked wonders on the burn)) Mojo's hair seemed to have really gotten dried out last year...we switched foods (now on Canidea) and starting using Missing Link mixed in his foods. We also use the SheaPet line of products (shampoo/conditioner) and the "fur-butter or for worse" extra conditioning balm....his hair is improved 100%!! SheaPet has their own site or you can get it from sassypup on here!

| I just ordered it yesterday and will let you know how it works when I get it and use it! As I said before, I have a true cotton/wooly coat yorkie which has gotten drier at almost 3 years old. I hope this helps.

| I bought a 4 oz bottle from Vitamin World for $10 and then the second bottle was half price. So I spent $15 for 8 ounces. It's 100% pure American Emu Oil by Thunder Ridge. Just got it so I'll post after I bathe these 2 wild ones!
