| [News] Yorkie Maimed By Mugger A MUGGER hurled this tiny Yorkshire terrier 25ft smashing her bones when it ran up for a stroke. Friendly pooch Bonnie, just 10in high, was grabbed after she trotted over to the hoodie-wearing monster in a city park. The thug shouted to terrified Sheila Wilson: “Give us your purse if you want your dog back.” When she said she had no money, the yob flung Bonnie on to a path, fracturing three bones in her front leg, and ran off. Sheila, 60, of Broadgreen, Liverpool, said: “We were out for a walk. Bonnie had gone up to this lad for a pat. “I told him I had no money and to leave the dog alone. But he tossed her into the air. “She crashed with a terrible squeal and was left lying on the grass with blood all over her.” Miraculously, Bonnie survived and Sheila took her to a vet’s. She said: “Bonnie’s been such a comfort to me. She’s still in bad pain.” Police are appealing for witnesses. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006280238,00.html |

| That poor yorkie, aww, who could be so cruel?!! That's terrible and makes me cry. I'm glad the dog survived, and I hope the mugger gets caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

| It is so scary that there are so many people who have no conscience. Hope your pup will be her own self shortly and glad you were not hurt. |

| Ah, a lesson for the wise. If your pup is on the ground outside it should either be in a fenced in yard or on a leash! That poor woman learned the hard way. What an awful thing to witness. Poor puppy! I feel really sad. What is this world coming to? |

| I am certain our Lord and Savior isn't forgiving of torture on a tiny creature. I do believe, as many, there is a place reserved for these heartless creatures....and they will have their "Pay Back" double!....Thank God your sweet baby is recovering and I pray he recovers fully. How horrible that such an animal as this B**tard is could harm a tiny creature as this when it was strickly wanted to give affection and a sweet hello.

| honestly, my friends all think i'm a psyco but i constantly tell them that if i ever saw anybody purposely hurt an animal (yes of any sort could also be wild) i would kick them to hurt (perferably hospitalize). But if ANYONE ever lays one wrong finger on my dog I will stab them and as crazy as that makes me sound... that is not one word of a lie. Stories like this make me sick. What a little beauty ..and miracle that little girlie is. I wish her a fast full recovery.
