| That is my worst nightmare, I think about it all the time, I do not let Cachito go to my backyard alone and I have put three gates in the side entrance of the backyard for security so if someone comes inn when we are in the backyars he cannot run outside, like a doggie park. I wrote in Cachitos collar plate reward 1,000 I am not rich, but if Cachito by any chance get lost I want him back. He is chipped too. I hope she really learned her lesson, never ever leave a dog unattended. |

| Twice we have had large aggressive dogs jump into our yard. I was able to get my pups inside without incident. My friend's yorkie was attacked and almost killed by a Rottweiler on her own deck. I would never leave them unattended but even when you are with them they might still be attacked. It's a big scary world out there for a little yorkie for sure. I'm glad she got her baby back. People can he so horrible. I just don't understand how people can be so cruel and steal someone's beloved pet.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I never let or leave Galen outside by himself. We always have him on a leash and is always supervised. She is very lucky to get him back. I am so glad she did.

| just thinking to myself what a damn shame that the badguy here is the owner. just thinking to myself what a damn shame that we live in a country where we can no longer let our children or dogs outside in their fenced yards on OUR own property without being considered negligent. seems almost crazy to me but I know it's what it has come to. just thinking the real criminals are the ones who take the dogs and children and trespass. yea I know there's no choice anymore but it's a damn shame and wish we were harsher on the real criminals in this situation and a little more understanding on the "parents." afterall we really don't know the exact circumstances. I really do miss some things about the 60s and 70s as a child. just thinking. |

Let us all pray for these sick ppl. Of course the victims as well. Meaning the dog, As far as the owners of the dog. Pray for them as well. Bc we don't know the whole situation. Anything can be misinterpreted into a HOLLYWOOD story.! : )

| I would or could never leave my dog's out unattended even in a locked and fenced in area. No way there are way too many sicko's out there looking to make a buck and someone's life miserable. I am sure Tricia has learned her lesson only too well now and she will never do it again! So let's not rub salt in a wound when she was probably extremely upset. It doesn't do anyone any good except cause ill feeling's |

| We have more to watch out for here! Not only was a little pug dog stolen from a locked car right in front of our local pet store with its large glass doorway, but a nearby town had a resident's toy white poodle carried out of owner's yard by a red-tailed hawk. The screaming owner did get her dog back, but the hawk dropped it before she could get below it to try to catch it, and the poor poodle died. We keep Taffy with us on a leash, and check the sky over our home if he's chasing his ball, as the pasture has red tail hawks which circle our rural area for rabbits. We don't live close to the road, but there are wild fox, and family & friends within 15 minutes have had their bird feeders destroyed by black bear, and coyotes are also here in Shenandoah Valley & the surrounding mountains. Rural areas are lovely, but have their own dangers! |

| **Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.** Stop all the lecturing, the owner has already had a horrible experience getting her dog back. Our group needs to offer her our support. Let us be thankful that once the theif realized that the stolen Yorkie was old and infirm, that there would be little $ to be gained in her resale value and returned it to the neighborhood. Especially when that police car was spotted! It definitely made them nervous, and probably fearful of being arrested with the dog in their possession. P.S. - I happened to see the old "Mickey & Minnie Mouse" cartoon cell copy a member is using. My uncle, David Gengenbach would send "Mouse Ears" to you, if your family also worked with Walt D. He would also join me in sending his support to the actress's family as we all love(d) our pets over many years.( He said there had to be a Heaven for his dog as she was much more loyal & loving than most humans.) |

| Valuable lessons are learned two ways....by experience or from "lecturing" and recounting from other's experiences. I personally thank God EVERY DAY for the people I have encountered in all areas of my life, that have either recounted their own disasterous experiences, or the people that "lectured" me on what to do, what NOT to do, why to do or not do something, and the consequences to be expected from decisions I made. And, I must say, I have learned more from the people that first got my undivided attention, then proceeded to "lecture" me with an urgency, than the ones that were more "warm and fuzzy" with their lesson, displaying no sense of importance or urgency....I was more likely to not pay acute attention to the "warm and fuzzy" lesson. People all have their own way of sharing on this forum.....some feel that lecturing is more productive, than sugar coating an experience or behavior. The wonderful thing is, as long as the post is respectful and falls within the guidlines of the forum, the OP is free to select THEIR own preferred method of learning, without guidance or direction from others as to what may be more appropriate for them. No sinners, no stones, just exasperated people that have been there, done that, and learned from it the hard way. |
