| Hurricane sandy: Yt'r check in please! I was thinking if we just had one spot where all the YT'rs that have been affected by this massive storm, could just check in and let the rest of us that are concerned for your well being, it would be easier on quicker for everyone?? Our prayers of course are with you all...stay safe and check in when you can! |

| Thank goodness, we are OK. It was scary. We didn't get as much rain as I had anticipated but the wind was awful. We had a tree uproot and fall on our street and lots of branches down. No buses or subways or bridges. We have electricity...some don't. Cell service is intermittent. There are neighborhoods here (SI) that are demolished. Ive been praying for these people and also the emergency responders. I hear sirens about every 5 to 10 minutes since yesterday. Very eerie. I hope all my fellow Yorkie-Talkers, their friends, family and of couse pets, are all OK and well. Be safe everyone. |

Can we get it pinned? so everyone can see it and it doesn't get lost. There are other hurricane threads already going, but think a pinned one, would be a good idea. | |

| Doing surprisingly well here in MD. We are right in between DC and Baltimore. Our power didn't even flicker. In our area after the Derecho storm on July BGE came and trimmed a lot of trees near power lines. Prayers for everyone.

| I hope Carmen is just trying to conserve what computer/phone power she's got for vital things as I heard a NJ U. S. representative say everybody he knows is without power. I just pray she is okay. Some of those pictures from NJ are totally scary!

| We're good here! Lots of wind and rain, not any damage I can see... other than my nerves. Prayers for all in harm's way...

| I live on Long Island, and 90% of people are without power. We only had lots of flickering but never fully lost power. We have some damage from the storm, but otherwise, we're pretty lucky.
