| I called South Suburban Humane Society & they said the ownership of these dogs is still pending due to Brownfield keeps appealing. When I told the Society I was calling the States Attorney (815-937-2930) she was very pleased. Also e-mail SA Boyd (statty@k3county.net) The following is copy of that e-mail: Dear State Attorney Boyd, I'm sending this e-mail in regards to the puppymill raid where Kankakee County officals rescued 55 dogs from Karen Brownfield & Patricia Gorecki. I understand they (Brownfield/Gorecki) are still appealing this seizure. With the condition of these poor dogs, I don't see where the problem is. I'm hoping you'll step in & be these dogs guardian & help them find new loving forever homes. The evidence shows Brownfield/Gorecki are inhuman people w/the greed of money as their goal. It's up to us to stop this type of abuse. I hope you feel the same way & will do everything in your power to HELP stop this deplorable abuse. Thank you |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | The shelter I help at asked us all to write the governor of Illinois on behalf of the St, Annes 53 as the county was not going to press charges and were going to give them back to the owners. The humane society has possession and does not want to give them back. I emailed him last week and never got any kind of response! Glad you wrote!

| Wow, this is horrid. I am a first time puppy owner, so I never knew the unfortunate things that happen behind the scenes when people just try to make a profit at the animals expense. This is sad
