Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Gosh this makes me so upset. Give the dog back you senseless burlgars!!! Can't people see that these aren't just objects of desire that can bring in some cash, they are actually precious friends that can't be replaced by simply getting another one.

| I can't even imagine the heartache, and then it amazes me when people don't understand why some breeders don't like strangers over their home. |

| What a heartbreaking story! I pray for Niko's safe return. We are very lucky and should appreciate the fact that others are making us aware that this is going on so that we can protect our precious babies and keep an even closer watchful eyes over them this holiday season and always!

YorkieTalk Newbie! | People are crazy I make sure I keep a close eye on mojo when he is out side. People love to kidnap small dogs. I don't think I would know what to do if I lost him. I have a yorkie because I lost my son in 2007. So mojo is my baby... |

| Missing Yorkie I completely understand how you are feeling. My precious Lexy went missing from my yard in Southport, FL on Saturday, December 19th, at 7PM. I have been searching frantically for her. I have offered a reward as well but I still do not have her back. She will be 9 years old this week. She looks like a puppy so I thought she was taken as a Christmas present. I really need her home. She is short legged, baby doll face, she is black and tan. Her back is shaved and she has a wavy longer skirt. She weighs 5 1/2-6 lbs. I have posted flyers, notified neighbors, placed an ad on fidofinder, findtoto, petfinder, missingpets, craigslist, the NewsHerald, and more. I have gone door to door in surrounding neighborhoods, notified vets offices, grooming offices, etc. |

| This is just terrible. I dont understand how someone could just steal someones dog. Dont they understand that there is a bond between a dog and his owners. And, they go through stress and heartache just like people do when they arent with who they should be?! I saw a post a month or so ago semi-locally that someone stopped at the store and had her 3 pomeranians in the car and someone stole all 3. The poor woman is so heartbroken! My husband took our little girl to the deli the other day and I go so nervous and called him and told him he has to take her into the store with him. I was so scared someone would take her. So he stuck her in his jacket and brought her in! From now on if the dogs cant go into the places we are going they will be safe at home. I pray for the safe return of all the four-legged babies out there that have been taken from their owners. |

| While looking for Gen's Cookie on craigslist, I came across the ad for Niko (from the news video) I emailed them and unfortunately, Niko has not come home yet.

| Thats awful. I'm not sure if there are laws about a stolen dog/pet but if there is not there should be. I wonder if the dog was microchipped? I don't know what I would do if something were to happen to Fancy. She goes everywhere with me and I always watch her when she goes outside to potty. I do that though in case there are any other stray/wild animals out there too. I hope the owner is reunited though.

| Don't lose all hope... I thought when I started Yorkie Rescue that I would be doing just that. I had no idea I would end up being a Yorkie Detective but that ended up being part of my job as well. When people surrender Yorkies to us, they give us all sorts of reasons why they cannot keep their dogs anymore.... but we tend to be suspicious in some cases and we do our very best to get to the bottom on each and every case before placing a yorkie with a new adoptive family. A few days ago someone on Craig's list in Florida was giving away a small young female Yorkie for FREE! That is a giant RED FLAg to us, so I emailed him and built up an email relationship. Out of all the emails he got from people who wanted to grab this little dog, he let me have her. Mind you, he had no idea I was with a rescue group. As soon as I got her, I took her to the Vet and she had a micro-chip and had been reported stolen. Within 24 hours she was reunited with her original family. I was so ANGRY... my blood was boiling. So I wrote an email back on the pets section of Craig's list. I apologize if it seems harsh... but I think these people got the message. --------------------------------------------------------- "Several days ago there was an ad on here for a Free Yorkie. I emailed the person and inquired about the dog. I spoke to a young man named Alex… and he told me that his mother “found” the dog a year and a half ago. The dog was not wearing a collar but they also NEVER checked for a microchip. I asked him why he didn’t have the dog scanned. The response was, “Well, my Mom wanted to keep the dog.” WELL HOW VERY SELFISH OF ALL OF YOU! So they kept the dog and let her mingle with their male yorkies and lo and behold… the female got pregnant TWICE!!! He said to me, “I have a male yorkie that basically did what was natural when she got in heat. It was pretty unavoidable.” UNAVOIDABLE? Are you an idiot? During the entire time they had this “found” dog they did not provide any veterinarian care, even when she was pregnant. No vaccinations, no dental cleaning, no heartworm medication, nothing! I jumped through hoops to get this man to relinquish this dog to me because I just had a feeling she was stolen property and I didn’t want someone else to adopt her and not have her scanned. Well yesterday I got this dog. Alex just handed her over, no questions asked. This morning she was taken to a Veterinarian and lo and behold, the dog WAS micro-chipped and she had been reported STOLEN! So the original owners were contacted and they were shocked that their precious baby had been found after all this time. When their yorkie was first stolen they were so totally distraught and they searched high and lo for her for months. They are being reunited with her this afternoon. I am writing this for several reasons… one reason is to tell people who have had their dogs stolen not to lose all hope… there is always the possibility that you will be reunited with your dog, especially if it has been micro-chipped. Secondly is if anyone adopts a dog from Craig’s list, don’t just naturally assume you are being told the truth about the dog’s past history. Take the dog to your Vet and have it scanned for a microchip. If the dog comes back stolen you can contact the police to tell them where you got this stolen property. And thirdly… there are ways to avoid a female dog from getting pregnant… have them spayed! I am so disgusted with these people who kept this dog captive, breeding her multiple times and never allowing her medical care! I am not sure if they actually found the dog like they said or if they are the ones who stole her… it will be interesting to see if the owners want to press charges and get the authorities involved. I for one am hoping they will! Hey Alex, maybe some day one of your yorkies will be stolen… only then will you be able to feel the anguish and sleepless nights this couple felt when their dog went missing. Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that's right is to get by, and the only thing that's wrong is to get caught. ~ Quote by J.C. Watts " ----------------------------------------------------------------- Gen in Florida... we are keeping our eyes and ears open for Cookie. Don't lose hope. One day someone will find her. I have to believe that; for all the good you have done others you more than many deserve it. Kit |
