It boggles my mind how many critters try to eat yorkies...coyotes, hawks, owls, alligators...
Maybe it's because they look like a bunny with that little docked tail.

What a really close call. That poor little girl must have been so scared and of course in great pain. Ocassionaly we have an owl perched in a tree out back at night and I'm always very scared it's going to get one of the girls even though we go out with them. Maybe I should put the harness and leash on them at night.

We have Great Horned Owls here in our Yard, and needless to say my Dogs don't go outside. One of my all time fears! I can't imagine the helplessness and the terror of watching your dog taken away in the clutches or mouth of anything!
I'm sure glad she is OK!

OMG, this is SO scary!! I'm in AZ and I never see owls - but this just proves once again that they're indeed around us. Wylie is 7 lbs and Marcel is 3 lbs - so both of them are vulnerable. Scary.

I saw a Hawk tackle a big rabbit and the hawk won and took off with that big rabbit in his claws..reminds me of the movie JEEPERS CREEPERS..
