No Longer a Member | [News] No Puppy For Hilton Paris Hilton went “ballistic” when a shop worker refused to sell her a puppy. The hotel heiress was on her way to a photo shoot when she called in at The Puppy Store on Los Angeles’ Melrose Avenue and tried to buy a Yorkshire Terrier. A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Paris wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter. She tried to buy a Yorkie but the employee refused to sell it to her, saying it was clearly an impulse buy. “Paris went ballistic and started screaming, 'I love my puppies! I want my baby!' "However, they still wouldn’t sell her the animal.” The store had no comment on the incident. This is not the first time Paris’ animals have got her into trouble. In 2005, she angered California's animal authorities when she bought a kinkajou during a trip to Las Vegas. The 26-year-old star was eventually forced to give up the racoon-like pet, which she named Baby Luv, after it was deemed to be illegal to own as a pet. The same year, Paris was also allegedly forced to return a baby kangaroo after having it flown to the US from Queensland, Australia. |

| I applaud the pet store for this once putting the Yorkies life & well being First, rather than the money from the sale or trying to please the bratty Paris.

| Wow, I'm surprised the pet store refused to sell the dog to her. I'm happy but surprised at the same time. To this pet store -- way to go!

| What is she doing trying to buy from a pet store anyway??? She has money to buy a quality pup not a puppy mill pup and she is advertising to other's to buy at a pet shop!! She has like 7 dogs already, so maybe a responsible breeder wouldn't sell to her anyway!! She's a bad example...for everything!!

| I'm SO GLAD they didn't sell the puppy to her BUT here's what I don't get. Aren't almost all of the dogs bought at a pet store an "impulse buy"??? Because I'm going to say if you did research and stuff you would buy from a breeder. You really can't think about buying a dog at a pet store because if you thought about it for a few days someone else would come in and buy it. So that's kind of a weird excuse they gave her. Don'tcha think????

| Food for Thought I am glad as well that the store didn't sell her the Yorkie. However, it did occur to me that the store would get far more publicity for NOT selling her the dog. Nobody would have known or cared, where she got the dog. The news media just gobbles up stuff like this. Just a thought.

| What happend to the other yorkie she had? I know she and Britney both bought one about a year ago. I suppose it's grown up now and not as cute so she has discarded it. I stronly dislike that woman and I'm glad that someone has stood up to her. Heck! she could have bought the entire store, I hope they would refuse to sell that tro her also. |
