That is so sad......The groomers at the PetSmart I go to refuse to groom more than one dog at a time so I'm not so much afraid of that as to who's grooming Daemar. There's one younger lady that's sort of new, but she's really gentle with him, and then there's another lady who is sweet to him, but you can tell she gets frustrated and is heavy-handed with him.

I'm taking Daemar to the groomers on Monday, so I'd GREATLY appreciate it if any one has any advice!!! **People in the West MI area please contact me!

Animal Smiley 049 Eeek!

Gosh I went to the Groomers today, and I was nervous after reading this. I only had my baby's ears and "pee line" trimmed, but I was watching like a hawk the entire time. The handler was very good and very quick, but of course Cookie cried her little heart out But it wasn't the groomer, she did a good job. I was still nervous! I refuse to leave my baby alone at the groomer's.

My heart goes out to this poor woman...

This is exactly why I started grooming my babies myself. You just can't trust these people with something so precious.

I used to take my dog to the groomer, but one day when I picked her up she was acting all weird. When we got home and I was rubbing her, I felt something sticky. The groomer had cut my baby and didn't even bother to tell me about it. There was dried blood there and she had put some sort of salve on it...so she definitely knew she cut her. I will never take my dog back to a groomer. I have made some booboos doing it myself, but I have NEVER cut my dog.

I used to take my Lhasa Apso Muffin to a groomer that I really trusted. When Muffin started developing a hernia I mentioned to the cashier that she has a small lump on her belly and please note it so the groomer will not cut into it. She told me that they can't note every little bump for the groomers because it is too much trouble. Needless to say I took my dog and left and never went back. I am really nervous about taking them to groomers after hearing all the horror stories.

Sad Tears For Scrappy

I Am So Saddened By The Wrongful Death Of Poor Little Scrappy. I Dont Even Know What To Say. I Cant Even Imagine What Scrappy's Mommy And Daddy Must Be Feeling. I Look Into My Precious Willows Eyes And See Nothing But Love. I Cannot Understand What This Person Was Thinking When She Left Scrappy Alone In A Tub While She Walked Away For A Few Moments. Does She Not Know That You Never Do Something Like That. Would You Leave Your Little Baby Soaking In A Tub For A Few Seconds? I Think Not. Well Scrappy Deserved To Be Treated Like A Little Baby. They Need To Be Watched. My Heart Goes Out To The Family. R.i.p. Little Scrappy.

Everyone is saying the same thing.. Maybe we should do something about it and bombard this grooming shop with so much mail on how wrong she was and how heartless she appears to be. That statement that this isnt going to her her business because she is sought after, the more I think about this the more pissed off I get. Are we allowed to send this person snail mail legally?

That is a great idea. She is CRAZY if she thinks this wont ruin her business- I don't know of anyone who would take their pet to be groomed there after this. She's diluted.

Cry sad

i am so sorry for her loss. Made me angry that they offered to pay for some of the cost to replace the furbaby. They would pay for another and for my mental state too. So sad.

Default How Sad is that

I could not imagine I tell you it is definilty a fear in the back of your mind at all times with these babies. My heart just aches for the baby and her parents. You can never repay or replace that baby for no amount of money.

that is so horrible, why did they wait to the end of the day when she came in to pick up her dog. they do deserve to go out of business. it is like a day care babysitting your child to leave it alone to die, do you think they should stay in business?
thats why i cut sammy myself, i do not care how he looks, he is safe and thats all that matters.
people at the park ask me, what kind of dog is he, i tell them a yorkie with a bad haircut, lol !

Oh my god. Coming to pick up your dog from a groomer only to hear it is dead!! I would be SO devastated!!!I would be crying for weeks!! I dont think replacement money for the dog would help me--although i would definetely fight for it, as a punishment to them. I would need months and months of healing from my loss... that is soo horrible. I feel for this woman. I cant believe that groomer lady didnt even get fired.

I think it is absolutely tragic!! What also has me concerned is how this sheds a bad light on ALL groomers. I have read countless posts here about people doing their own grooming-which is great. BUT I do need to to say that there ARE good groomers out there that genuinely care- not all of them are negligent and uncaring!! Please don't label ALL groomers in this catagory!! My groomer I take Lexie to is one of the BEST!! I think the world of her and Lexie does too.
