| What does your Vet charge for a routine Exam? Just wondering. I don't know if my Vet is expensive or not. I probably will stay with him, because I like the practice. He charges $41 for the exam, medicines, if needed, are extra. If the ears need to be cleaned, for example, that would be another $18. I am having Kalina spayed in 4 weeks. That will cost approximately $300 and includes the microchipping. It costs an additional $7 for each baby tooth that needs to be pulled. Does this seem expensive or reasonable?

| Thats expensive to me, but vets down my way are cheaper. To spay and micro chip Dakota will be like $120. A office visit fee is $35-40. Can't remember, they just went up in prices. |

| I got Zoey spayed/microchipped, 3 teeth pulled and 5 days of pain meds for $291.00.(this inc. pre surgery blood work) I think an office visit is $35.

| It sounds a litlle expensive but if you like the vet and practice at least you'll be paying for piece of mind. |

| Consultation fee at my vets is £30, which is about $60. Medicines would be extra, cost depending on what they were. To spay Indy was £130 ($260), that was without microchipping as she had already had that done. Baby teeth are £10 ($20) extra per tooth. Seems your vets prices are similar to mine, I do think they are expensive, but they are a good vets.

| I think the fees just depend on where you are located. I had a lady get mad at me, bc my vet didn't charge as much as her vet charged. There was like a 150 difference. |

| I think it's reasonable. You can't put a price on it if you trust your vet. I pay a few more dollars ($10 a tooth as opposed to $7, $45 a vet visit as opposed to $41) and I live right across the bridge from you. I recently had Britney spayed and it was almost $400. |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Vet prices are absurd anymore honestly! I love my Vet but he is the most expensive in town for a visit it's $40 per dog and X-rays are $160.00 + the vet visits of $40 so $200 for an x-ray When i took Tigger in last friday they did and X-ray and drained his chest and had him on oxygen and the bill was $600.00 in 5 hours I really like him like i said but i am seriously thinking of a new vet for prices. there is another vet here and the care isn't as good but decent and they charge $108.00 for an X-ray with the exam so i don't know??? Do you go on prices or comfort???

| Wow, you guys got it made! My vet charges $55 (Canadian - which is now about the same as USD) for an exam. Getting my kitties spayed was $275 each! I have Bitsy on the puppy plan which includes all her shots and her spay for $535. Any tooth extraction will be $20 per tooth. I thought my vet was pretty expensive, but I called like 5 other vets in my area and their prices were very similar. |

| Our vet charges $49 for the office visit (our old vet was $55). I've had a CBC done on my collie at $102.00, several urinalysis done at $34.00 each & a unrine culture sent to the lab priced at $98.00. Xrays were $90.00. My collie has a UTI that won't go away and I am up to about $1000 on it.

| I guess i have it pretty good with where I go. It's a clinic and hospital with more than one vet on staff. Office charges are 14.00 for regular checkup and I know $2 per tooth but if there's over a certain amt that need pulled, it's a dollar. Her puppy shots were 18.00 for each of the 4 rounds. I took her a few weeks ago, she wasn't feeling up to par and the visit was only 43.00 for her and that included medicines (2,) a shot, exam and two cans of food and they trimmed her nails for me. It's going to be 60.00 to get her spayed and that's even with her small size and all that goes with it. I can't remember how much xrays are. I think 60.00. It's a great place and doesn't break you. They're really good with animals too. I was going to a local vet and she was supposed to come so highly rated but man she kept jars of vaseline to give to you when you left !! (joke) I'm still petrified at the thought of Maggie getting spayed though
