Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | They are pretty acidic, so maybe try just a bit at first - but they should be fine otherwise.

| Tomato sauce has many other things added into it, but I personally would steer clear just to be safe - especially if you have a pup with a sensitive stomach.

| Keely eats tomatoes all the time. She freaks out if we are cutting one up and do not give her some. Same goes for green beans which is probably her favorite. Every two or three I snap the ends off of I have to give her one or else she will not leave me alone. Our vet said it is a trial and error type thing, but they are perfectly fine to give them and won't harm them. The worst thing that could happen would be a little bit of loose stool, but that's about it. Hope that helps.

| I feed mine some ripe grape tomatoes-just 1 small one a day. He totally loves it. According to this website, ripe tomato is okay for them, just not the stem, etc etc. Please refer: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/...in654043.shtml

| Your dogs names are Mickey and Bella? Those are the names of my brothers two Minature Greyhounds. Bella got out and ran away though.

| I've also heard that the actual ripe tomato is okay, but green tomatos and the leaves, stem, stalk, etc., are what is poisonous. Mine have had pieces of tomatoes, I just don't give them a bunch... |
