| A syringe is usually pretty effective, even 2 CC's of water would be helpful, just stuff her full of as much as you can. Add some pedialyte too!

| I'm sorry she's sick. I don't really have any suggestions but I'm sure you'll get some help on here. My only thought for getting fluids in her is maybe see if she'll eat some ice cubes. How old is she and how much does she weigh? Have you called your vet yet? Good luck and let us know how she's doing.

| If she does not eat for 24 hours I would also try to force some food down her, and get some nutri-cal to keep her sugar from dropping. |

| She is 4 months and a half... I'm very worried. She is a little lethargic... But she hasn't vomit since this afternoon. She seems tired maybe. Bikini is my first dog... so I don't really know! |

| Sound like her sugar is dropping, if you do not get it back up she will have a siezure. If you do not have nutri-cal put a pea size amount of honey or karo on the roof of her mouth to get her sugar back up. |

| That is what the vet told me. It will get the sugar back up. The nutri-cal they make just for this is make of corn syrup. |

| Hi there, I know how hard it is to watch when your little one is sick Sometimes I take an ice cube and have bailey lick it. I usually hold a bowl under it because for some reason he'll actually drink the water in the bowl while i'm holding it. I hope this helps! |

| Brody gave us a scare this week. He had a few days of vomiting and loose stools. Poor baby ended up having a 2inch hairball. He didn't vomit every day. The days he did, it took him the whole day to recover. He didn't want to do much at all. He did get the shakes. We assume from not being able to keep anything down. We had to force him to take some honey. The shakes got better after about 30min or so. The few hours after he vomited he would seem to fall asleep on his feet. It was like he was scared to move. When we did get him to curl up on our bed he fell into such a deep sleep we thought he'd fallen into a coma or something. My husband could put his hand under his head and move it about, lift him up, etc. and he wouldn't move or wake up. He finally did respond to some frantic name calling and nudging. He turned out to be fine. The next morning he was back to his playful, hyperactive self. He was just so exhausted. I can only imagine what his little body went through trying to get the hairball up. I would suggest trying to contact your vet if your wee one doesn't get any better. And don't leave messages! Actually talk to someone when you call. We tried to call ours. They're a 24/7 facility. I called at about 7pm. The message line was supposed to be active and return calls made until 9pm. It took them 18hrs to get back to us. Thankfully Brody started to perk up a few hours after we had tried to get in touch with them.

| Thanks, that reassures me. She was walking around this morning but you could tell she was exhausted... She took a little water but threw it up. Then, she took a little water again and did not throw it up and it has been 1 hour. I am not with her today has I have to work. But I will try and leave early. She will have time to rest. I gave her lots of water, honey and her dry food... If I come home and she is not well, then I will go to the vet! Thank you |
