| Looks like you're doing a great job! Remember that you can also give fruits/veggies as snacks and treats. My two like lettuce leaves, baby carrots, frozen peas, raw green beans, bananas, peeled apples and peaches, and other fruits and veggies too! Just be sure they're cut up into yorkie-sized pieces! I also sometimes give them a few plain cheerios when they need distraction-these work great in their "puzzle" toys, and are high in fiber and low in calories. I used them a lot when first training Emma to do tricks! Looks like you're well on your way to healthy home cooking! Please feel free to let us all know if you have any questions, we're happy to help!

| Good job. Dried fruits such as apricots, figs, dates and prunes. Fresh fruits such as all berries, apples and bananas. You can also cook up some brown rice and add to the meat mix. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You're doing great! I bet he loves it. You just have to remember that you must supplement w/ calcium - you can buy bone meal or you can make calcium using crushed/baked egg shells (super easy). Many homecookers, myself included, also supplement using vitamin/mineral, digestive enzymes, probioitic, and EFAs. I use one that includes all of them, then I add the calcium: http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/produc...at/999065.aspx

| You do have one more option for calcium. That is calcium carbonate. It is my preference since you don't have to cook eggs and crush the shells and I'm not comfortable with bonemeal because awhile back (probably years ago but I'm not sure) it was thought to be comtaminated...
