| Orijen Dog Food and wysong DentaTreat My wife and I just switched our Yorkie to Orijen Dog Food and started using Wysong DentaTreat. Since we switched to both we have noticed a substantial reduction in plaque build up on his teath. We are a little concerned however that he is drinking more water and has thrown up water two or three times. Has anyone had any problems with either of these two products? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I think Orijen is one of THE best, so soundly based in science - I love their white paper about nutrition. Since it is a high protein food, your dog is probably needing more water - hence the drinking more and perhaps drinking a bit too much, making the tummy upset. But, since you started 2 new things at one, it could from the Dentatreat as well. If it were me, I'd probably hold off on the Dentatreat, feed the Orijen, maybe sprinkle some water on the Orijen (or add in a bit of canned for moisture) - and see how he does on that. If tummy does okay, then I'd maybe try the Dentatreat... Welcome to YT!!

| Thanks for the advice, I'll try cutting him off the dentatreat for now, and add a little water to orijen. He definately preferes the orijen to his previous food, medi-cal dentel food. |

| Orijen is a fantastic food, alot of dogs need more water when they switch foods. Their body is getting used to processing a new diet. I agree with Wylie's Mom, add some water to the kibble and hold off the dental treats for a while. |
