| Has anyone used the Eukanuba Yorkie breed specific dog food? I saw it at Petco and was wondering if it is beneficial or not. |

| I used to feed Eukanuba small breed a awhile back but after reviewing the chart I switched immediately to Chicken Soup , All that time I tho I was feeding them good stuff . I did like the small size kibbles from Eukanuba tho, they were perfect for the little teeth. I haven't seen the Eukanuba for yorkies , is it a new product? |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i don't like eukanuba or iams (same company basically) for two reason. 1) the Iams corporation does horrible animal testing which i do not agree with. 2) the second ingredient in the eukanuba yorkie food is chicken-by-products and the third is corn. these are two big NO NOs

| I use it and my dogs seem to like it. I have read a lot of threads dissing on Iams and Eukaneuba, and I can say that I am not educated as much on the subject. But my dogs are healthy and happy, and like to eat it, as opposed to many other foods I have tried. And I like the fact that it only comes in 7 lb bags, so it stays fresh. It takes about 2 months or a little longer for my little furbabies to get through a bag.

| food I fed Iams Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy for 20 years until I found Chicken Soup Puppy. I havnt tried the breed specifics yet. I will have to check it out!!! Nutri Source small breed puppy has the tiniest kibble for weaning york pups. Its even smaller than Iams Eukanuba small breed puppy. Lynn |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ...so, what IS a good brand of dog food that you can buy at your local PetSmart, Petco, etc? It seems like every ingrediant label I see has by-products listed somewhere on it.

| My lil one used to be on Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy up till a few weeks ago when I switched her to Natural Balance. In reading the ingredients it just seemed like a more balanced dog food for her. So far she likes it and I am pleased with it...

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Phenobarbital was found in the Iams brand foods in 2002-2003. The only way for this to logically show up in food is for animals that have been P.T.S. have been recycled into filler. At least thats the explaination I got on it all. GROSS. Purina and many other foods were said to have it show up in thier foods also. Im no food tester and dont work in a lab, I can only pass on what I was told.

No Longer a Member | I've been feeding Chloe the Eukanuba small breed puppy since about July, and she has never done better. I have tried everything on her, and she actually lost lots of weight and became rather sickly. I had tried Nutro, Canidae (I tried all three varieties) Merricks, Chicken soup, Diamond, Royal Canin (which she actually ate for a while), Solid Gold, Natural Balance, various prescription diets, Nature's variety raw, evangers' canned, and homecooking. I never even considered Eukanuba until I babysat another yorkie for 10 days. Chloe was on a home-cooked chicken and fish and brown rice diet at the time, and not eating very well. She had been steadily losing weight on a steadily decreasing appetite since February. I'm not kidding, when you watch your dog go through every premium dogfood out there, and losing lots of weight so that you can wrap your fingers (on one hand) around her belly, and you see her start eating Eukanuba and plumping up and looking really healthy, you start to change your mind. I'll be switching her to the Eukanuba Yorkshire variety when this runs out. |

| I have never heard about Eukanuba Yorkie Breed... My girls eat Premier Yorkie Puppy dry food... But I've been talking to hubby about trying Canidae All Life Stages out, since a lot of people on YT like it... I've e-mailed the Canidae company asking about shipment and payment terms yesterday. I don't know if they ship to Brazil, though... |
