| I would think they'd be ok... If they're canned you'll want to rinse them a few times before you feed them, since they're pretty salty.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Chick peas are full of fiber and are good for humans so I would say OK for our furbutts. Best to always rinse any type of canned bean (Fava, Black) to rinse off some of the sodium. But then again - anything is good in moderation.

| If you want to make them for yourself, try them with fresh chopped tomato & fresh pressed garlic, with a little lemon juice or red wine vinegar, and some olive oil. Top with fresh ground black pepper and a little fresh basil! I stayed with a family during a school trip to Geneva, and the made chickpeas that way-I was skeptical, but it was good! Your furbaby could eat the beans, olive oil, and basil too!

| Thanks for your confirmations! BTW, chickpeas in our house are always rinsed out ... they're usually in our rice, when my mom is cooking! Missy loves them. I just never heard of anyone using them on here, so I decided to make a thread on them hehe. Thanks. |
