| Canidae...but which one? I currently have my boyz on a prescription SD food...yah, I know but that's what the vet put Jo on. I'd like them to try Canidae because it's supposed to be good for allergies. But, which one do I try? Jo 'may' have allergies but it 'may' also be pyoderma...he's on the prescription diet along with antibiotics for another week. Riley doesn't seem to have any issues but since they started eating SD he's been licking his feet and scratching his shoulders to the point of breaking off the hair so I know it's bothering him. Will Canidae address all of these issues in both of my boyz? I'm growing tired of switching foods...if I find one that works for both of them I'll stick with it but so far that hasn't happened. Owning a dog wasn't this complicated when I was younger...just about everyone fed a combination of Purina dog chow and table scraps and the only issue we ever had to deal with was fleas! |

| Most people on here prefer All Life Stages (with 4-5 kinds of meat). We use Chicken and Rice because Ellie seems to be allergic to the lamb in the others. Have you thought about California Naturals? It is supposed to be good for allergies.

| For allergies, I have heard that California Natural is a good one...Also, Natural Balance Duck and Potato. I didn't realize that Canidae had an allergy formula.

| They don't really have an allergy formula per say but their descriptions state that a couple of their foods are good for problem skin and allergies. |

| There is rumor going around right now that Canidae was found to have been contaminated with Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Not sure if it has any weight, but just something to keep an eye out for. http://petfoodtracker.blogspot.com/2...itive-for.html

| We have been using the All Life Stages for all our guys. Hubby's Vet said that Gunnar(our rott pup) looks fantastic and she was impressed with the difference since we switched the food. I feed Canidae mixed w/ a tablespoon or so of Spot's Stew for the little guys. But also leave the Canidae down for free feed.
