| Merricks HAS ANYONE NOTICED!! Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed recently that merricks canned foods have changed so much and NOT for the better.....I always used to buy my babies the "wingaling" but switched to "smothered comfort" because the wingaling seemed to no longer have as much meat in it and was mostly all juice....so now Im noticing that the smothered comfort is also all watery.......like one small peice of chicken and the rest is just watery...juicy like......Im thinking of writing them a letter, but switching brands until they change.

| ive just started feeding my baby merricks but the only one ive thought to be too juicy is the cowboy cookout. i cant remember if weve tried both of those or not but maybe i shouldnt if they dont have a lot a actual food in them. if your dissatified i would definitely write a letter. they cant expect to change a good food in basically just juices with a little meat and not have people upset.

| I have noticed some cans seem to have more water. I thought maybe it was just a processing error. I do find that I used to stretch a small can over 4 meals, now I get about 3.

| yea the puppy platter is kinda juicy too...i thought maybe it was just because the meat is shredded and not chunks of food. o well roman likes canidae better anyways and its not runny

| I'm glad this issue was raised because I also feed my baby Smothered Comfort, Grammy's Pot Pie or Wingaling and I too also thought that there was so much juice and less meat than normal. |

| I'm OK with the "juice" but I used to get 3 wings in a big can and now I get 2. I could split 1 can into 4 meals (2 per dog) and now I give them each a wing and there isn't much left over that's worth saving. I suppose I'd rather get LESS food than poorer quality. I haven't noticed a quality change, only a quantity change... Also, some cans are definitely better than others.

| Yes, I actually only get like one meal for the both of them and it used to be way more....and Im surprised to hear about the cowboy cookout because that used to be like the thickest of them all! I wrote the company an e-mail last night and I am going right now to see if they replied yet....but if they dont change it I am definately going to try another brand .....so if anyone has any suggestions for a good canned food Please let me know..............thanks all!!

| I've been using Merrick for months now and I complain everytime I go to the store I buy it from. There is so much liquid in the cans now that by the time I finish spilling it out there's less than 2/3rds of a can........unfortunatly this is what Brandi likes to eat.......but I think I'm going to start getting her onto some other food now.......I've also saved every can I've bought from them recently so that I can write and complain........ |

| Merrick's email address If anyone is interested, here is the email address for Merrick. customerservice@merrickpetcare.com I emailed them this morning and complained. Maybe if enough of us do the same thing, they will go back to their previous standards.

| Maybe with all the recalls Merrick decided to make their food different.
