| My Tyra is a VERY picky eater  I don't know what else to do at this point. I have given Tyra nutrisource which is what she was eating at the breeders, she doesn't want to eat that here so I tried ProPlan puppy formula and she doesnt want to eat that either. I tried canned dog food and she liked it (a little) so I tried giving her cooked chicken and she LOVED it, however I thought that the they needed dry puppy food to help them grow. Tomorrow makes a week since I have had Tyra and she is four months old. I just dont know what to do anymore. I did follow the thread from yesterday asking what snacks do you feed your yorkie and I tried the carrots and she LOVED IT!!! So I am hoping to get a little more help in trying to find a healthy food for my baby!!

| Dry food is not necessary for them. They can eat canned food, human food, or the raw food diet. But if you feel most comfortable feeding DRY puppy food, there are many good choices out there. You might want to try a higher quality dog food like an all life stages food. Examples: Natural Balance Duck and Potato or any of their varieties (they sell this at Petco), Solid Gold has a puppy food (also at Petco), Canidae all life stages(www.canidae.com and you can look up stores that carry it near you), Innova puppy... Good luck!!

| i have the same problem with Roman (6 months). i got him when he was about 9 or 10 weeks. the breeder had been feeding nutro natural choice so i continued to feed him that for a month or so. after a while he stopped eating as much so i bought the other natural choice puppy flavor, which he didnt really eat much of either. so ive started feeding wet food (either canidae or merricks) he really likes canidae. i leave dry food out all the time and every now and then he will eat some, but he mainly eats the wet food. i had originally asked on here if it was ok to feed just wet food and got mixed answers. so i would say as long as you baby is healthy and not losing weight she will be ok with dry food, wet food, or people food. good luck!
