| floppy ears ? my baby boy is a little over 3 months. at his first month, his ears were really floppy (normal). then at two months, his ears started to stand up, but left ear was higher than his right. later into his second month, they both flopped again !!!!!!!!! now his right ear is completely up and his left ear completely floppy !!! not really complaining, cause its really cute .... but should i be worried or concerned ? is it a health issue ? thanx oh ... and another question ... when yorkies are sleeping, their ears are supposed to be laying down and relaxed, right ?

| I'm sure the ears will stand. He's probably teething. I'm going to have to look at them when their sleeping to see if their up or down. LOL

| Same thing happened with Lucy got her at about 11.5 to 12 weeks and both of her ears were standing up (first picture) then at about 15 weeks her right ear went floppy (second picture) I had her groomed at 16.5 weeks I had her groomed and now both of her ears are standing up, the (third picture) is the most recent and as you can see they are now both standing up. It just takes time, I'm not sure if it helped them stand up because i had the groomer trim the ears.

| Oh and this reminded me of something else. My mom also took her two yorkies Max and Mazie to be groomed when I took Lucy and she wanted to have their ears trimmed too, well apparently Max's ears do kind of stand up we thought they were floppy, turns out was just the hair weighing them down, the first picture is of Max before his hair cut and second is after. (Max is 7 years old)

| They can be up and down, up can be up I wouldn't worry about it. Both of mine are floppy, I think Dakots will be that way, and when they lay down they usually flop over. |
