| Human Food Vs. Dog Treats I have been giving Milo Wellness Chicken and Lamb Jerky pretty much since I got him. He likes it but seemed to be getting sick of it after a while and some people here suggested human treats like carrots and cheerios and such, so I've tried it. He LOVES fruits and vegetables. He goes crazy for strawberries and loves raspberries, tomatoes and carrots and pretty much everything that is good for you. I looked online to get lists of foods toxic to dogs and I don't give him any of those, but I was just wondering if there's anything wrong with me giving him fruits and vegetables as treats instead of store bought treats since he seems to like the human food better anyway. I would love some feedback.

I don't think tomatoes are great for dogs-I can't remember why, but I wouldn't feed them tomatoes. Plus, they're really acidic on their sensitive tummies. Grapes, onions, garlic, and any seeds are also bad for them. You might also try bits of whole wheat crackers, plain cheerios, and small chunks of cheese.

| That's definitely good to hear. Plus this way I know exactly what is going into my little guy's tummy and I don't have to worry about an ingredients list. I found quite a few lists of toxic foods online and grapes, onions, garlic, and some seeds as well as some nuts were all on the list. I also read that tomato stems, leaves and the green parts are bad for them, but you are probably right about the tomatoes themselves being too acidic. He loves them, but I will have to stop I guess. I will try the cooked eggs too, he'll probably love that. Thanks for the feedback

| I don't give any 'dog treats' at all, its too scary after all the recalls. I'd rather know exactly what i'm giving them and where it comes from. |
