| Patchy's skin is peeling!?!? Does anyone know what would cause a yorkie's skin to peel. Patch is a year old and has never had this happen before. His skin is peeling somewhat on his belly and even more on the inside of his legs. I'm hoping its just dry skin and there is something I can put on it but I don't know for sure so i'm asking for your help! What should I do to help him? Maybe its a food allergy... its can't be the shampoo because I've used the same one for a year. Well let me know... THANK YOU SO MUCH! |

| Tino had the same thing and it was a reaction to the rabies vac. They gave him a topical and the rash stoped but he has a lil bald spot on his rump...it all went away but the spot where it started.

| Hi! I hope Patch is feeling better soon. It sounds like he is having a reaction to something. Another thing that came to mind is fungus. I know horses can get it, but I'm not sure about dogs. I would definitely call the vet. Good Luck!!! |

| How does it looks like peeling skin or flakes? it can be dandruff or some kind of allergy. Best bet is to take him to the vet. Please keep us posted. Good luck. |

| I wouldn't think it would be a reaction the shampoo if you have used it for a year. Has anything else changed, like diet, bedding, etc. If not, I would check with my vet before he becomes uncomfortable.

| Rio had a reaction to frontline plus that sounds exactly like you are describing only his skin on his belly turned all red first. If you have recently changed flea products you might consider this. If not and it persists i would also ask the vet. |

| I'd take him to the vet to be on the safe side. |
